Ek aag si jalti mujh me.....

Thank you so so much @00Wolfie00 ji !! As I'm learning words from google & shayaris, thought of tagging you and @Rasputin_M (as you both understand Urdu very well) so that you guys would let me know if there is any mistake.

And that one is amazing !!

On forum, you and @Freaky are my favourite poet/poetess !! Post more stuff please.. :D
Hey thank you bro.Lovely shayari. Mirza Ghalib is one of my favorite poet. :)

Ek aag se jalti mujh me, ek toofan sa uthta roj.
Barbaadi jisse kehte, kya yahi hai wo ?

Naa milta sukoon kahi, bas ashq ka sailaab hai.
Barbaadi jisse kehte, kya yahi hai wo ?

Shikan se chayi soorat par, posheeda ghaav hai.
Barbaadi jisse kehte, kya yahi hai wo ?

Yaadon me qaid, hai ek muntazir.

Ishq jisse kehte kya yahi hai wo ?

Kaisi barbaadi, kaisa ishq ?

Maut jisse kehte, yahi hai wo, haa yahi hai wo.

- Aayu Vaayu.

PS - PS is gonna be long (you can skip it if you want).
I'll dedicate this poem to my Ex, haha.

A line from a quote by Vincent Van Gogh -
" A great fire burns within me " - I liked this line and wanted to use this in my poem so " Ek aag se jalti mujh me ".

Idk Urdu much, just few words so I thought in my language and then searched a couple of words on Google like - I wanted to talk about invisible wounds and I couldn't think of any proper word so I googled Urdu word for invisible, Idk why but I feel like "Posheeda" doesn't perfectly fit here. If anybody has any suggestion, please lemme know !!

Also, my English isn't great so I cannot translate this in poetic way but I'll share the meaning :

Aag - Fire, Toofan - Storm, Barbaadi - Ruin/destruction/damage, Sukoon - Peace, Ashq - Tears, Sailaab - Flood, Shikan - Wrinkle (here it means - kinda sadness, depression), Soorat - Face, Posheeda - Invisible, Ghaav - Wound, Yaadein - Memories, Muntazir - The one who is waiting for someone/something, Ishq - Love, Maut - Death.

So my poem is about how a person suffers due to heartbreak, life is ruined when the person whom we love, leave us all alone. That phase of being sad and depressed, when you can't think of anything, when you can't do anything except crying is like being dead.

Umm that's it : )
Wonderful. Hard to express feelings. Whether I should feel sad for the meaning or should I feel happy enjoying superb poem. Anyway ty for sharing

Awww... poet in the making I see. Nice lines.

Oh, yeah!! Heartbreak is a bitch. It isn't easy to fix, either we realize love is not real or let someone in again to hurt us all over again. I don't understand why people are so naive? Including me here. Why do we give so much importance to love in our life? Is it because we didn't get enough love in our life, so we think it is the one thing we all need? This idea ends up spoiling us, increasing the distance between us and reality. Why don't we have enough brains to realize that we only need us, we only need self-love? Instead of getting spoiled in this love, why don't we get spoiled in self-love??

Or maybe I am wrong, maybe we love ourselves too much that we think we are loving in nature. We live in that delusion for a long time, not realizing what it means to love, what it takes to be loved. Then reality comes along and slaps us in the face. Maybe that's why, "Barbaadi jisse kehte, kya yahi hai wo? Ishq jisse kehte kya yahi hai wo?"

Would love to see more poetry from you, keep pouring your heart out :fingercross:!!

Whoa sure, waiting patiently
इश्क़ में कौन बर्बाद हुआ है, श्री कृष्ण राधा से भी गहरा तुम्हे प्रेम हुआ है, यु ही बदनाम कर रखा है तुमने इश्क़ को बर्बादी के नाम पर, चाह निकल कर बताना उसके जाने का तुम्हे रत्ती भर भी दुख हुआ है l
