The next day just after nightfall...
"Alright Lucy let us leave this village before they find us" said Gabriel, several moments later Gabriel and Lucy left the room beneath the barn and then looked outside. "I do not see anyone" said Lucy, "let us move quickly!" Said Gabriel, a moment later Gabriel and Lucy ran through the fields and through the meadow of rose's towards their home, they ran as fast as they could as the wind blew strong.
Eventually Gabriel and Lucy had reached their home and went inside, "pack everything you want the most and meet me in the crypt afterwards my dear" said Gabriel. Lucy nodded and then quickly went up the spiral staircase towards the bedroom, Gabriel went down into the crypt beneath the house and grabbed some of his belongings into a bag as Lucy did the same upstairs.
Thirteen minutes later Gabriel and Lucy had finished packing everything that was important to them and got ready to depart. Lucy met Gabriel in the crypt and told him that she was ready to leave, "let us leave quickly, they could be here at any moment my love" said Gabriel as they walked out of the crypt and into the hall, they stood in the hall for a moment and then saw a light outside.
"Where is that light coming from?" Said Lucy, Gabriel peeked through the window and saw the villager's heading towards the house with torches in their hands. "It is them, the villager's are coming this way!" Said Gabriel, a few moments later Lucy and Gabriel could her the villager's shouting, "there they are, get them!" Said one man angrily, "murderers!" Said the dead man's wife.
"Come out now or we shall break in!" Said Mayor Blackwood, Gabriel and Lucy moved away from the window as the villager's came closer towards the house. Moments later brick's smashed through the windows, "we must get away from here!" Said Lucy, Gabriel took her hand and they ran towards the back door, seconds later a torch flew through the hole in the window and landed on the floor beside the curtain.
Within a matter of seconds the curtains caught fire and began to burn, "the back door is stuck" said Gabriel as the fire began to take hold and spread. "Come out now and face your death vampire's!" Said Mayor Blackwood, Gabriel kicked down the back door and then he and Lucy ran outside towards the meadow, "look they're getting away!" Said the dead man's wife as she pointed towards the meadow of rose's.
"Hey them?" Said one of the men, a few moments later the villager's chased after Lucy and Gabriel as they ran through the meadow of rose's. The villager's were relentless and were not going to give up easily, they pursued Gabriel and Lucy towards the border of the village and cornered them, Lucy and Gabriel stood at the edge of the cliff as the thirteen villager's surrounded them.
"There is nowhere for you to go, this is the end for you..." Said Mayor Blackwood, Gabriel and Lucy looked down over the cliff edge as the thirteen villager's moved a little closer towards them. "I have an idea my love..." Whispered Gabriel, "what are you thinking?" Whispered Lucy, "I am thinking we should jump...the fall shall not kill us" said Gabriel, Lucy looked into his eyes and then held his hand.
"You shall no longer be a plague on our village!" Said Mayor Blackwood, "KILL THEM!" said the dead man's wife, "do it now" said another man amongst the thirteen villager's. "Are you ready my dear?" Said Gabriel, "I am ready my love" said Lucy, Gabriel and Lucy turned around and then a moment later they leapt from the top of the cliff and fell through the air.
"What the..!?" Said Mayor Blackwood as he rushed towards the cliff edge, the other villager's ran towards him and then looked over the edge of the cliff. They all watched as Gabriel and Lucy fell through the air and then crashed into the rough water below, "do you think they survived the fall?" Asked the dead man's wife, "hmm, not even a vampire could survive a fall like that..." Said Mayor Blackwood.
After several minutes of waiting for any sign of Gabriel and Lucy, the thirteen villager's were satisfied that they had perished and went back to their homes. "The village is free from those monsters..." Said the dead man's wife, "a most unexpected outcome but satisfactory nonetheless!" Said Mayor Blackwood as the dark clouds blocked out the moonlight and the wind blew stronger.
