Seven weeks later...
Nightfall had arrived and the village was enveloped in fog, amongst the fog was the orange glow of light from the torches being held by the villager's. "GET THEM!!" Said Mayor Blackwood loudly, "KILL THE VAMPIRE'S" said the group of villager's, "they killed my husband!" Said one of the women amongst the crow as they all chased Gabriel and Lucy through the streets.
"Keep running my dear, we must flee this place" said Gabriel, Lucy and Gabriel ran as fast as they could through the cobblestone streets in search of a safe place to hide. Fortunately the weather had given them the advantage, after a few minutes Lucy and Gabriel vanished into the fog, "I've lost them..." Said Mayor Blackwood as he moved his torch around and tried to see through the fog.
"They cannot hide forever" said the dead man's wife, "they shall have to come out soon or later.." said one of the men as he held his torch firmly. Meanwhile at the old barn on the west side of town Lucy and Gabriel were safe at least for the time being, "it is all happening again.." said Gabriel, "I am sorry, I could not stop the hunger.." said Lucy, "it is alright my love" said Gabriel.
"What shall we do?" Asked Lucy, "there is only one thing we can do, we must leave this village or they shall kill us.." said Gabriel. "The sun shall rise soon and we do not have enough time to reach home" said Lucy, "I know my dear, we must stay inside this old barn until next nightfall and hope they do not find us" said Gabriel, a moment later Gabriel opened the trap door and then they climbed down into room beneath the barn.
"It is fortunate that I built this room beneath the barn" said Gabriel, when did you build this?" Asked Lucy, "four months ago, I thought it would be a good idea" said Gabriel. "A place to hide in case of something like this?" Said Lucy, "yes, let us hope they do not discover us" said Gabriel as he closed the trapdoor, a moment later Gabriel and Lucy sat in the darkness next each other as they listened to the shouting outside as the villager's hunted for them.
Time passed by and morning had arrived, "we have searched everywhere Mayor Blackwood, there's no sign of them" said the dead husband's wife. "Hmm maybe they have fled" said one of the men, "I do not think so, there was not enough time before the sun came up" said Mayor Blackwood, the villager's extinguished their torches as the Mayor continued to talk, "they are still in this village somewhere, we shall hunt for them again at nightfall" said Mayor Blackwood.
A few minutes later the villager's went home and got some rest to prepare themselves for the hunt at nightfall, meanwhile in room beneath the old barn Lucy and Gabriel had awoken. "We must leave this place as soon as nightfall has arrived my love" said Gabriel, "we are fortunate that we have not been discovered" said Lucy, "yes very fortunate, but that will not last forever my dear, for now let us rest again and be ready for nightfall" said Gabriel.
A few moments later Gabriel and Lucy closed their eyes and rested as they awaited the arrival of nightfall.
