The heart whispers softly, "Give him a chance… maybe he won't hurt u.."
But the brain sighs, "Do u really forget what happened last time u gave someone a chance? What did u get in return?"
The heart replies, "This one feels different...Maybe he's not like the others… maybe he's the one who will help me heal."
The brain interrupts, "And what if he breaks u again? Will u be able to survive it this time???"
The heart trembles, "Or maybe… maybe he'll heal me.. Maybe he'll make me feel special again."
The brain snaps back, "And what if he makes u feel like you're nothing but a passing moment!!!?"
The heart murmurs, "I don want to believe that… he's not like the rest."
The brain reminds, "The last one also said the same ---"I'll never hurt u." Remember how that ended?"
The heart pleads, "But how long am I supposed to hold on to the past?"
The brain answers softly, "You're not holding on love… you're protecting urself. U just dont want to live the same deja vu again....
The heart falls silent for a moment, then whispers, "I think he loves me."
The brain sighs, "And what if it's not love… what if it's just another moment of attraction?"
The heart smiles faintly, "I don think so....I've seen something pure in his eyes!!!"
And for a while… both fall silent....!! Cuz sometimes even the brain doesn't know what to say when the heart starts to believe again...But the battle is never ending!!!!
