The next morning as the sunrise shone over the village Venizia had woken up and remembered the celebrations would soon start. A moment later she woke up Azryn and reminded him , "come on get up , the celebrations will start soon" said Venizia as she began to prepare herself for the day , Azryn climbed out of the bed and got dressed quickly , "I shall need to go home and change into some clean clothes" said Azryn.
"Yes , I shall meet you at the market in half an hour" said Venizia as she headed towards the bathroom , moments later Azryn left has her home and ran through the streets towards his house. A few minutes later Azryn had reached his home and went inside , "A quick wash and something for breakfast and I shall be ready" thought Azryn as he took his clothes off and headed to his bathroom.
Half an hour later...
Venizia and Azryn had put on some clean clothes and had eaten their breakfast then made their way towards the market. Venizia had arrived at the market and stood beside the fountain and waited for him , a couple of minutes later Azryn had arrived at the market and waved at her , "there you are!" Said Venizia as she smiled at him , "it took a little longer to eat my breakfast today" said Azryn.
Suddenly the sound of drums and flutes filled the air around them , "looks like we are just in time!" Said Azryn , "Empress Jayde is visiting us today" said Venizia as she and Azryn walked towards the center of the village. "I wonder why she is choosing today to visit , she has never come here before until now" said Azryn , "hmm I do not know but maybe she will say something exciting" said Venizia.
A few minutes later Empress Jayde had arrived in the village and climbed out of her carriage , Empress Jayde stood on the podium and began to speak. "Welcome everyone to this year's celebrations , this day marks our victory against the Elepheron empire at the battle of Zamzar" said Empress Jayde as the villager's cheered , Venizia and Azryn continued to listen to Empress Jayde speak.
"I have received information from our allies that the Elepheron empire has fallen and their people have been wiped out" said Empress Jayde. The crowd cheered once again as the sun shone bright and the cool wind flowed , "to celebrate the fall of the Elepheron empire every citizen of this village shall be given an item of their choosing" said Empress Jayde as her soldiers walked towards the crowd.
The soldiers placed crates down onto the ground and opened them , "everyone please form a line and be ready to collect your item" said Empress Jayde. Venizia and Azryn swiftly moved to the front and the villager's formed into a line behind them , "have you chosen something?" Asked Venizia , "I may get a new hex blade but I have not decided yet , his about you?" Said Azryn.
"Hmm I have been wanting the new crystal lightsword" said Venizia , a moment later she stepped forward and asked the soldier for a crystal lightsword. "Here you go miss" said the soldier as he handed her the crystal lightsword , a few moments later she stepped aside and Azryn walked towards the soldier , "what would you like?" Asked the soldier , "hmm I shall take the set of hex weapons" said Azryn.
The soldier handed him the hex blade and hex rifle and said "an excellent choice , the best weapons in the land" , Azryn thanked the soldier then stepped aside and stood next to Venizia. "I'm sure these will come in useful" said Azryn as he attached his hex weapons to his belt , half an hour later every villager had received their free item and Empress Jayde began to speak.
