As the Valkyria hovered in the air looking down upon Harmonia she saw Venizia and Azryn standing amongst the shadows. "Who are you?" Asked the Valkyria , "I am Azryn and this is Venizia , we are on a journey visiting Harmonia , who are you?" said Azryn , "I am Vanathena the last Valkyria" she said as she flew down towards them , "I heard you say that you were trapped in the Nexus dimensions" said Azryn.
"Yes Emperor Omna of Elepheron trapped me there a hundred year's ago" said Vanathena , "why did he do that?" Asked Venizia. "I once saved Elepheron from a horde of wraiths and Emperor Omna took credit for it then had me banished , now I have returned I shall destroy Elepheron!" Said Vanathena , "you are to late , Elepheron has already been destroyed , we passed through there on our journey , Elepheron is in ruins now" said Venizia and Azryn.
"I have waited so long to have my revenge on Elepheron , what do I do now?" Said Vanathena , "you are free now , you can live somewhere in peace" said Venizia as she smiled at Vanathena. "The aurora lights continued to glow vividly in the night sky as Vanathena became silent and thought to herself , Vanathena's golden armour glimmered in the light as the energy bubbles continued to appear.
Suddenly a loud roar echoed through the streets of Harmonia , "what was that!?" Said Azryn , moments later a creature began to emerge from a large energy bubble. The creature was part human but with black raven like wings , sharp claws and red glowing eyes , "oh no I have seen one of those before.." said Azryn as the creature had fully emerging from the energy bubble.
"What is it Azryn?" Asked Venizia , "it is a Nekroshade!" Said Azryn , "get back to safety , I shall defend Harmonia from this Nekroshade" said Vanathena. "I am free at last , I shall destroy this land" said the Nekroshade as he stretched his large black wings , "I do not think so!" Said Vanathena as she flew towards the Nekroshade , "who are you!" Said the Nekroshade.
"I am Vanathena the last of the Valkyria" she said as her golden coloured eyes and dark hair shimmered in the light , "I am Quinzael lord of the Nekroshade" he said. "I have heard of the Nekroshade , "your kind was just a myth from two thousand years ago" said Vanathena , "as you can see I am no myth!" Said Quinzael , suddenly Quinzael flew towards Vanathena and attacked.
Vanathena defended herself as Quinzael swiped at her with his sharp metallic like claws , "by the time I have finished with you the Valkyria shall be no more!" Said Quinzael. Vanathena suddenly unleashed a blast of golden coloured magic and fired it towards Quinzael , the blast of magic hit Quinzael hard and sent him crashing into a building , pieces of rubble covered the ground as Quinzael got back up.
A moment later Quinzael unleashed a stream of black coloured energy and fired it towards Vanathena , power surged through Vanathena's veins and a moment later she unleashed another blast of golden coloured magic towards Quinzael , Vanathena's magic collided against Quinzael's dark energy and sent an enormous shockwave throughout Harmonia , the citizens ran through the streets looking for a safe place to hide.
"You cannot defeat me , I am stronger than you!" Said Quinzael as he launched himself into the sky towards the aurora , "we shall see!" Said Vanathena as she flew up high following him. Venizia and Azryn could do nothing but watch them battle in the sky as the aurora grew stronger , "hmm the aurora opens the gateway to the Nexus dimensions!" Said Azryn.
"So that means anything trapped in the Nexus dimensions can escape during the aurora" said Venizia , "yes but hopefully nothing else will escape" said Azryn. Vanathena and Quinzael continued to battle high in the sky above Harmonia as more energy bubbles began to appear , Quinzael's sharp claws scratched against Vanathena's golden armour as he attacked her once again.
Vanathena grabbed Quinzael by his neck and her golden eyes glowed bright , "I have had enough of you Nekroshade"said Vanathena as she squeezed his neck tight. A moment later Vanathena flew around and around in circles at high speed as she held Quinzael tight , a few moments later Vanathena let go and watched Quinzael fall through the air and then crash into the ground.
The impact created a small crater in the ground and sent another shockwave throughout Harmonia , Vanathena flew down through the sky towards the crater where Quinzael lay at high speed. As Quinzael stood on his feet and turned his head he saw Vanathena coming towards him , seconds later Vanathena threw a punch fast like lightning and hit Quinzael in his head knocking him down.
A moment later Vanathena grabbed Quinzael and lifted him up and dangled him in the air as she hovered there , "you cannot be allowed to live!" Said Vanathena as Azryn and Venizia emerged from the shadows and walked towards her , "you do not have to kill him" said Venizia , "she is right" said Azryn , "he is to dangerous to be left alive" said Vanathena as she held Quinzael in one hand.
"If I let him live Quinzael will destroy everything in this land , you must choose...take one life to save many or let him live and condemn the land to destruction" said Vanathena. Venizia and Azryn sighed and became silent , "that is what I thought..." Said Vanathena ,a few moments later Vanathena tore open Quinzael's throat with her razor sharp golden coloured claws.
Blood splattered across the ground as Vanathena dangled Quinzael's lifeless body in the air , moments later the aurora had started to fade , "the aurora is fading!" Said Venizia as she looked towards the sky , "the energy bubbles are disappearing as well" said Azryn , Vanathena threw Quinzael's lifeless body into the large energy bubble and watched it vanish to the Nexus dimensions.
"The aurora and the energy bubbles are connected , whenever the aurora appears it creates the energy bubbles and the energy bubbles are gateways to the Nexus dimensions" said Azryn. "Hmm then Harmonia could be threatened once more" said Vanathena as the remaining energy bubbles vanished , a few moments later the aurora had faded away and the citizens of Harmonia emerged from their safe hiding places.
"She saved us!" Said one of the citizens as she pointed towards Vanathena , a moment later the citizens of Harmonia cheered for Vanathena and the celebrations continued. "I know what I must do now , I shall remain here and protect Harmonia and it's citizens" said Vanathena , Venizia and Azryn smiled at her then a moment later Vanathena soared into the night sky and flew over Harmonia.
"We shall stay in Harmonia for the night and continue our journey in the morning" said Azryn as he and Venizia watched Vanathena fly above Harmonia as the stars shone bright in the clear night sky..
