As Leah lay there unconscious in the red coloured sand under the blazing hot sun
A kangaroo hopped towards her and searched her backpack for food
Suddenly the kangaroo heard a noise coming towards it and hopped away
"What do we have here then" said a man' as he saw Leah lay on the ground unconscious
The man picked her up and carried her to her car and placed her inside
He went into his backpack and took out a bottle , he opened it and poured some water into her mouth
The man took her sleeveless jacket off to help cool her down
A few minutes later Leah woke up and saw him standing next to her
"Ugh what happened and who are you" said Leah , "G'day I'm Quinn , you passed out from the heat" he said
"There was a kangaroo after your food when I found you" said Quinn , "wouldn't be the first time a roo tried to take my food" said Leah
Leah took her bottle of water out of her backpack and drank it and ate half of her sandwich
"What were you doing this far out" asked Quinn , "I came looking for some gold" said Leah
"Crikey , that's what I'm doing out here too" said Quinn , "I found some opal too" said Leah as she showed it to him
"What a beaut , you'll get a fair amount of money for these" said Quinn
"You reckon" said Leah , "I'd say this lot of opal is worth about ten grand" said Quinn as he smiled
"I bet we could get more if we work as a team" said Quinn , "got yourself a deal mate" said Leah
Quinn got into Leah's car and then she drove at high speed across the sandy and rocky outback terrain
They travelled several hundred kilometres maybe a little more until they reached a small town...
