Athena...

She stands atop the acropolis beside the Parthenon, her long brown hair the colour of earth flowing in the wind and brown eyes glimmering in the light of the sunrise. Her soft tanned olive coloured skin the colour of caramel, and her faithful and beloved little owl perched upon her shoulder, the Parthenon stand's tall upon the hill casting a shadow over the city of Athens below.

The citizens of Athens adored and worshipped her, the goddess of war, wisdom and handicrafts, Athena felt the cool gentle breeze and the warmth of the sunrise against her skin. Her golden breastplate shimmered in the sunlight as her favourite hero Odysseus walked up the acropolis step by step towards the Parthenon, she heard his footsteps coming closer and closer.

Moments later Odysseus was standing by her side, just being in her presence was a privilege that only a rare few would ever get. Athena loved Odysseus's cleverness, his cleverness had earned him victory at the battle of Troy, the wooden horse was a stroke of genius, after the war Athena continued to guide her beloved Odysseus on his Odyssey, if it wasn't for her he may never have reached home.

Athena and Odysseus stood beside one another in silence beneath the sunrise, they didn't need to speak, just being there together spoke volumes. His loyalty to her unwavering, Athena turned her head a little and looked at Odysseus, he smiled at her but didn't speak, he didn't need to, Athena always knew what Odysseus was thinking, a moment later Athena turned her head and continued to watch the sunrise.

The golden glow of the sunrise soaked the city of Athens with it's warmth and light, the aroma of the flower's and the sea filled the air as the citizens began to awake. Athena turned to face Odysseus and placed her right hand upon his cheek and smiled, a few moments later Athena faded away before Odysseus's very eyes and returned to the hallowed hall's of Olympus.

Athena sat in the throne that once belonged to her father Zeus and closed her eyes, she thought about the sunrise and the tranquility it brought her. All hail the almighty Athena, the new ruler of Olympus.
