Later that day...
The storm had passed and Athena continued her journey as she travelled onwards through the pine forest towards her next destination. Half an hour passed by and Athena had left the pine forest and headed northwest, a few hours later she had found herself standing at some ruins, vines had wrapped themselves around the marble pillars and moss covered the ground.
Athena walked into the ruins and began to look around, as she walked around the ruins everything had suddenly become eerily quiet. Athena drew her sword and turned around, "who is there?...show yourself!" Said Athena as the sun began to set, moments later a wild boar seemingly came out of nowhere and charged towards her, the wild boar ran straight past Athena and ran towards the trees to the south.
"Hmm I wonder what scared that boar..." Thought Athena as she put her sword away, the temple amongst the ruins still stood tall and in one piece. Athena continued to walk around a little and then headed into the temple, "I wonder which one of us god's this temple is for" Athena wondered, she walked ahead a little more then saw a statue at the back of the room.
"Hmm a statue of Poseidon, now I know who people were leaving offerings for" said Athena, a short while later Athena left the ruins behind and continued her journey. She walked onwards towards the northwest as the moon rose high into the clear night sky, a few hours into the night Athena had reached a swamp, she entered the swamp and walked onwards for a short time until she found a village at the center.
Athena decided to stay there for night and searched for a place to rest, a few moments later a woman stood in front of her, "welcome to our village, I am Marianna" said the woman. Suddenly Marianna had realised who she was talking to and then kneeled down, "the mighty goddess Athena forgive me for not recognising you sooner" said Marianna, "I am looking for a place to stay for the night, I am sure you can assist me" said Athena.
"Of course my lady, you may stay at my home" said Marianna, a few moments later Marianna showed Athena to her home. They walked inside the house and then sat down beside the window, the cool wind flowed into the house as an owl flew past the window, "please take anything you wish my lady" said Marianna, Athena thanked her and took an apple from the bowl that was on the table.
"You can stay here as long as you would like my lady" said Marianna, Athena smiled at her a little then took a bite out of the apple. Athena decided to stay longer and remained at the village for another few days, three day's later Athena had decided it was time to move on, "thank you for letting me stay here but I must go now" said Athena, "it was no trouble my lady" said Marianna as she smiled.
"I must go back to Olympus for the feast, I hope they have not started without me.." thought Athena, with a click of her fingers Athena vanished in a flash of red and gold light as she transported herself back to Olympus. Moments later she had arrived home to find the other god's and goddess's standing in the halls of Olympus, "ah Athena there you are!" Said Artemis.
"I was beginning to think you would not come" said Apollo as he smiled a little, "I said I would come for the feast Apollo" said Athena as her little owl flew towards her then perched on her shoulder. "Ah my faithful feathered friend, I have missed you" said Athena as she gently pet her owl, "ah everyone is here, let us begin the feast!" Said Zeus as they slowly walked towards the large marble table with a variety of food on it.
