A short walk later Athena had arrived at the village and began to explore, as she walked through the streets she heard two men talking in a shaded area of the village. Athena moved out of sight and listened, "I heard of a place where there is treasure" said one of the men, "oh where Stelios?" Asked the other man, "over there in the valley Akis" said Stelios as he pointed towards the northeast, "hmm let us see for ourselves" said Akis.
A few moments later Stelios and Akis walked through the streets towards the edge of the village, Athena used her power's to make herself invisible and followed them. Stelios and Akis walked onwards towards the northeast where the treasure was meant to be, Athena continued to follow them as Stelios and Akis walked a little faster towards the valley, several minutes later they had finally arrived at the valley.
Statues of the god's and goddess's of Olympus stood around the valley, Stelios and Akis walked around the valley until they reached a large statue of Zeus. "Look! , that looks like a door at the base of this statue" said Akis, a moment later Stelios helped Akis to pry open the door, the door squeaked as they opened it as far as they could, "treasure!!" Said Akis as he peeked through the door.
"Why is there treasure in base of a statue?..." said Stelios as he and Akis entered the room, meanwhile Athena watched as Stelios and Akis looked at the treasure. A few moments later Athena entered the room and stood behind the men, "you must not touch the treasure..." warned Athena, "we found it and now we shall take what we want" said Akis, a moment later Akis began to put some treasure into his bag.
"Why should we not touch the treasure?" Stelios asked, "do you not find it strange that the treasure is unguarded?" Said Athena. "Who does this treasure belong to..." Stelios asked, as Akis continued to fill his bag with the treasure, suddenly thunder rumbled amongst the clouds, "oh no..." Said Stelios as he began to realise who the treasure belongs to, "the treasure belongs to my father Zeus" said Athena.
"Akis you must put the treasure back!" Said Stelios, "why??" Asked Akis as he picked up a golden spear, "this treasure belongs to Zeus!" Said Stelios. "Zeus clearly does not want this treasure or he would have protected it" said Akis, after he had filled his bag with treasure Akis went back outside, Stelios and Athena followed him as thunder continued to rumble amongst the clouds.
"Quickly, put the treasure back!" Said Stelios, "it is my treasure now" said Akis, "what happens next will be your own doing..." Said Athena. Moments later a lightning bolt struck the ground behind Akis and a man appeared, his long white hair moved a little in the wind as the man held his staff, Akis stood still in fear as he felt the man's breath against the back of his neck.
A moment later Akis turned around and saw the man in front of him, "mercy, mercy lord Zeus" said Akis as he kneeled down. "How dare you take my possessions!!, you shall be punished!" Shouted Zeus as he took the bag full of treasure, Zeus grumbled as he decided upon what kind of punishment he should give Akis, Stelios quietly fled from the valley and headed back to the village.
"Hmm I have decided your punishment mortal.." said Zeus, "show mercy lord Zeus, I beg you.." said Akis, "I shall take your sight and banish you to Axos" said Zeus. A moment later Zeus used his power's and took Akis's sight from him, Akis now blind he scratched his fingers against the ground and continued to beg for mercy, Zeus transported Akis to Axos and Athena followed them a moment later.
"You shall live here and my harpies shall eat your food and leave you their scraps" said Zeus, Athena stood beside Zeus as Akis crawled across the rocky ground. "This is the will of Zeus..." Said Zeus as he faded away back to Olympus, a few minutes later the harpies tormented Akis as Athena stood in silence, "a harsh punishment, his friend Stelios was fortunate to avoid this fate" said Athena.
Moments later Athena transported herself back to the village and then continued her journey.
