"CLASH!!" , sparks flew as Ares and Athena's sword's collided, Aphelia still lay there motionless on the ground as Athena and Ares battled. "Are you alright..." Asked Odysseus quietly, there was no response from Aphelia as blood ran across the dusty smoke covered floor, "BANG!!"... Athena hit Ares in the face with her shield making him stumble, "did that burn brother?" Said Athena.
Ares growled in anger and swung his sword towards Athena, sparks filled the air once more as their swords collided again. Odysseus put his hand between the bars of his cell and reached out to Aphelia, moments later he pulled the dagger out of Aphelia's back and held it in his hand, Athena and Ares battled fiercely around the room knocking furniture and trinkets down.
Athena's sword scraped against Ares battle armour creating more spark's, a few minutes later Aphelia began to move as she groaned a little. She began to crawl across the floor slowly and reached out her arm, moments later she held out her hand and Odysseus took the keys to the cell. Seconds later Odysseus used the key to unlock his cell and then moved Aphelia to safety.
Athena unleashed an almighty energy blast towards Ares, the energy blast hit Ares hard and sent him through the air and crashing into a wall. "Stop this brother, you are no match for me!" Said Athena, Ares kneeled on the floor and looked towards the cell's, "grr the hero has escaped!" Said Ares angrily, moments later he stood on his feet and ran into the next room where Odysseus and Aphelia were.
Athena followed him into the next room and then blocked the doorway, Ares thrust his sword towards Odysseus, just as he was about to strike...a green blast of magic struck Ares and sent him through the air towards Athena. A split second later Athena hit Ares with her shield and then slammed him into the ground, "stop this now!!" Said Athena as she pointed her sword at Ares.
"Come on let us get out of here" said Odysseus as Athena kicked Ares sword out of reach, Odysseus picked Aphelia up off the floor and started walking towards Athena. Ares grabbed his dagger then moved fast towards Odysseus and tried to kill him. "No!.." said Aphelia as she moved in between Ares and Odysseus, Ares dagger impaled Aphelia's chest killing her instantly.
"FOOL!!" Said Ares, Odysseus moved quickly and stood beside Athena, "she saved me..." said Odysseus, "yes...now let us run!" Said Athena. Seconds later Athena and Odysseus ran through the cave tunnels, "look over there!" Said Odysseus, Athena saw light ahead of them and they continued to run, Ares chased them through the cave tunnels as Athena and Odysseus came closer and closer to the light.
Moments later Athena and Odysseus stepped through the light and then found themselves standing on the surface outside, "This is where Aphelia and I entered the cave of dread" said Athena, seconds later Ares had appeared behind them, "give him to me now sister!" Said Ares, then suddenly thunder rumbled amongst the clouds and a voice boomed around them.
"ENOUGH OF THIS ARES, LEAVE THEM BE OR I SHALL BANISH YOU!!" shouted Zeus, Ares put his sword away and grumbled. "Very well father.." mumbled Ares, moments later Ares vanished back to the boat he had used to reach the island and then sailed away, "thank you father!" Said Athena, "let us leave this island" said Odysseus, a minute or two later Athena and Odysseus headed towards the coast.
They passed through the dark woods and a short while later they had finally reached the beach, moments later Athena and Odysseus climbed into the boat and sailed away towards Rhodes. They sailed across the strong waves as the sun returned and shine bright in the clear blue sky, eventually Athena and Odysseus had finally arrived at Rhodes and anchored the boat at the harbour.
Meanwhile back at the cave of dread...
Aphelia's dead body began to twitch as green coloured energy surrounded her, then second's later Aphelia opened her eyes and took a deep breath. "I...am...alive.." said Aphelia, the dormant power deep inside her had brought her back to life, her eyes glowed bright green as she repaired her dress with her magic, seconds later Aphelia transported herself back to the surface and walked back to her home in the dark woods.
"I hope Athena and Odysseus made it to safety.." thought Aphelia as she entered her home, meanwhile back in Rhodes Odysseus thanked Athena for saving him from Ares and held her hand. "I shall do anything it takes to protect you my love" said Athena, she kissed him and then used her power's and repaired his clothes and cleaned him up, "ah as good as new!, thank you Athena my love" said Odysseus.
"Now let us leave Rhodes and travel onwards!" Said Athena, moments later Athena transported Odysseus and herself to the mainland.
