It was another glorious day upon Mount Olympus as the gods watched over the mortals below , meanwhile Athena was in her room standing on the balcony. Her long brown hair flowing in the wind and her brown eyes shimmering in the golden light of the sun, she closed her eyes and felt the cool wind and the warmth of the sunlight against her soft tanned olive coloured skin.
Athena breathed in the cool fresh air and as the clouds moved around Olympus, her long white dress moved in the gentle breeze as she stood there in silence and listened to the bird's sing. "Another beautiful day" said Athena as she opened her eyes, as Athena stood there on the balcony she sighed, a moment later she sat on her bed and thought to herself, "hmm what shall I do..." She thought.
Moments later Athena had made a decision and left her room, she walked through the marbled halls of Olympus towards the throne room. "Ah Athena there you are" said Zeus as he sat there on his throne with Hera standing beside him, "I have made a decision father" said Athena, "oh, and what decision is that?" Zeus asked, "I wish to leave Olympus and explore the land" said Athena.
"Is that so, you came to seek permission?" Asked Zeus, Athena raised an eyebrow knowing she did not need Zeus's permission to leave. Zeus sat there in silence with a look of seriousness on his face then smiled at her, "you are free to do as you wish, you do not need permission" said Zeus, Athena smiled a little as Zeus got up from his throne and walked towards her.
"I could not refuse permission for my favourite daughter, but do not tell the others I said that" said Zeus as he whispered to her. A moment later Zeus placed his hand upon Athena's shoulder and said, "go and explore, there are many things to see" said Zeus as he smiled at her, a few moments later Athena headed back to her room and then slipped her white dress off and began to change.
A few minutes or so later Athena had finished changing her clothes, she walked onto the balcony and stood there as the wind brushed against her cheek. Her golden armour glimmered in the sunlight as she reached for her sword, Athena took a deep breath of fresh air and then breathed out slowly, "time to explore!" Said Athena, moments later she left her room and walked outside into the courtyard.
After entering the courtyard she walked towards Pegasus as he stood beside the fountain, Pegasus's pure white body glimmered a little as the sun shone above. Of course Athena had her power's and could easily transport herself down to the ground but this time she wanted a more exciting way to get there, "will you take me down to the land?" Asked Athena, Pegasus turned around a little so she could climb on.
After Athena had climbed onto his back Pegasus stretched his wings outwards and prepared to fly, then moments later Pegasus ran across the courtyard and launched into the sky. Athena held onto him tight as Pegasus soared through the sky, he flew between the fluffy white clouds as the sun shone bright in the blue sky, Pegasus flew through the sky as fast as he could towards the nearest town.
A short time later Athena pointed down towards a village below, "take me there Pegasus my friend" said Athena, a moment later Pegasus flew down towards the ground. Athena held on firmly as Pegasus flew fast, as they got closer towards the ground Pegasus slowed down and prepared to land, moments later Pegasus had landed on a small hill just outside the village.
Athena climbed off his back then gently patted his back, "thank you Pegasus" said Athena as she looked down upon the village in front of her. Moments later Pegasus flew away and headed home back to Mount Olympus, "time to begin my journey!" Said Athena as she started walking towards the village.
