His first love was a journey, A tumultuous ride of emotions, An adventure that he would never forget, No matter how far he roamed.​

It started with a glance, A single moment that changed his life, As he gazed upon her beauty, And was struck by Cupid's knife.
She was the most beautiful creature, He had ever laid eyes upon, And from that moment on, He knew his heart had found its home.
He watched her from afar, As she moved through life with grace, And in the quiet of his heart, He dreamed of touching her face.
Days turned to weeks, And weeks turned to months, But still he could not find the courage, To speak of his heart's wants.
He poured his heart into words, And wrote her a thousand love letters, Each one filled with longing and pain, And a love that would last forever.
He would place them in her locker, Or slip them in her backpack, Hoping that one day, She would read them and write back.

He knew he would never see her again, Or hear her sweet laughter in his ear, But he held on to the memory of her, And let it be his constant cheer.
He would sit alone in the park, And watch the children play, And wonder if she had found love, And if she was happy in her own way.

And so he sat there in the park, And watched the world go by, Content with his memories, And the love that he could not deny.
