Two Doors
She stands between two open doors,
a hand in each, and cannot choose...

One man she loves, and love feels like
a grey room where she learns to lose.
His hand is warm, but what it holds
is silence, doubt, and waiting long.
She folds herself in smaller shapes

The other door spills golden light,
with laughter, apples, open skies.

and joy is written in his eyes.

was never love, just longing's chain.

The one who loves you leaves you whole,
and lets you bloom, and stays through rain.
So walk toward the light, my heart,
where you don't have to beg to stay.
The man you love may break your peace.
The man who loves you clears the way.

நேரம் என்பது நதியைப் போல,
நிற்காமல் ஓடிப் போகும்;
"இன்னும் நிறைய இருக்கே" என்று
நெஞ்சம் சொல்லித் தூங்கும்.

பரபரப்பு வந்த நாளில்
கனவுகள் கூடிப் பெருகும்;
ஆனால் கைகளில் நேரமில்லை,
ஏக்கம் மட்டும் மிஞ்சும்.

ஓய்வு தந்த நொடிகளை
ஒளியாய் மாற்றிக் கொள்வோம்;
காற்றுள்ள போதே தூற்றிக்கொள்,
கனவு நனவாய் மலரும்.
