️ Where Do They Go When It Rains?

❤️

Have you ever wondered where birds and animals go when the rain gets heavy? ️

They don't run away from the world.

They simply find a little shelter until the storm passes.

Perhaps people are not so different.

When life feels heavy, sometimes we too look for a place where we can simply breathe.

Sometimes that place is a person.
Sometimes it's silence.
Sometimes it's a little distance.

We don't ask a bird to leave its shelter while the rain is still falling.

Perhaps we shouldn't ask people to come out of their silence before they're ready either.

A shelter is meant to offer safety, not become a cage.

Maybe that's what a meaningful relationship needs too—
enough closeness to feel safe,
and enough freedom to remain ourselves. ️

We often mistake distance for rejection,
or silence for indifference.

But not every retreat means someone has stopped caring.

Just as a bird leaves its shelter when the rain stops and returns to the open sky, people too may need their own space before they find their way back.

Maybe a meaningful relationship isn't about holding someone through every storm.
It's about being a safe place while they find their way through it.

You don't always have to stop the rain for someone.

Sometimes, simply being a safe place is enough.

Because not every distance is goodbye.
Sometimes, it's just shelter until the rain passes. ️️

✨

While reading @cheetra 's reply in “[Rain "heavy and drizzle"]”, one thought stayed with me:

“We are also part of nature, and we experience it as one.”

That made me pause and think about how trees, birds, and animals experience rain.

And then I found myself wondering—

Where do they go when the rain gets heavy? ️

That small question led me to think about something much closer to us: how people too look for shelter when life becomes heavy.

Its always the same for all, nature is one.
When life gets difficult we too need a shelter.
The cute umbrella pic you posted with a puppy and kitten sums it up...
Its one reality and there isn't another, knowing this all doubts vanish...

Wow dear, you have made it so meaningful and closer to home.
At times all we need is a little space to perch until the tempest passes...

Maybe beneath all our differences, the need for care, comfort and shelter is something we all share. ❤️

So true, dear. Sometimes we don't need someone to stop the storm for us; we just need a safe place to rest until it passes. ❤️
