Part 7: When Words Finally Fall Silent His Perspective ❤️‍
-------------------------------------------------
My Not-So-Stranger,

“You're waiting,” I murmured, a smile slowly finding its way onto my lips.

“But for once, I don't think another beautiful paragraph is going to save me.”

You stood before me with that look in your eyes—the very same look that had turned our innocent teasing into something neither of us seemed willing to walk away from.

Your fingers were still intertwined with mine.
And that kiss you'd left on my cheek?

Believe me, beautiful, I hadn't forgotten a single second of it.

I'd imagined countless ways this moment might unfold. In every version, I had something clever to say, some perfectly timed line that would make you smile and leave you wondering what I'd do next.

But you had ruined all my plans.

In the most beautiful way possible.

Because standing this close to you, I finally understood something I'd been trying to explain through words for so long.

Wanting a moment is one thing. Standing inside it, with someone who makes it matter, is something else entirely.

I lifted your hand gently, my thumb brushing across your fingers.

“Do you know what your biggest problem is?” I asked.

Your eyes narrowed playfully.

“Oh? Now I have a problem?”

“You make a man write entire paragraphs just to explain what one look from you can do to him.”

I paused, letting my smile soften.

“And then you walk into his imagination, take his hand, kiss his cheek, and expect him to remember how to speak.”

Your laughter escaped before you could hide it.

There it was.

That sound.

The one I'd written about without ever truly knowing what it would feel like to hear it this close.

I could have teased you again. I could have hidden behind another clever sentence.

Instead, I stepped a little closer, giving you time to meet my eyes.

“About your question, beautiful…”

My voice grew quieter.

“Were those words only words?”

I shook my head.

“No. Not all of them.”

I looked at you, letting the silence carry what my voice couldn't quite manage.

“I wanted to kiss you long before you asked me that question. But I didn't want our first kiss to happen simply because we'd written about it a hundred times.”

My fingers tightened gently around yours.

“I wanted it to happen because we were both here, choosing the same moment. Not because a story promised it. Not because either of us felt we had to fulfil a beautiful ending.”

I brushed a loose strand of hair away from your face, then let my hand rest against your cheek.

“And now?”

A small, helpless smile crossed my face.

“Now you're standing in front of me, looking at me as though you already know my answer.”

I held your gaze.

“I'd like to kiss you, my not-so-stranger.”

For once, I didn't dress the truth up in poetry.

I simply let it be true.

“But only if that's still what you want.”

The teasing in your expression softened. You moved closer, your hand settling against my shoulder, and the little distance left between us suddenly felt like a question neither of us needed to fear.

I paused, searching your eyes for that unmistakable invitation.

When you leaned towards me, I met you halfway.

And then, finally, I kissed you.

Gently.

Not like a man trying to prove that every promise he'd written was true, but like someone discovering that the moment he'd imagined could become something even more beautiful when shared.

For a heartbeat, the world seemed to quiet around us.

No clever replies.

No teasing challenges.

No need to turn every feeling into a sentence.

Just you, me, and a moment that belonged to neither imagination nor expectation anymore.

When we drew apart, I rested my forehead against yours, a quiet laugh escaping me.

“Well,” I whispered, “there goes my reputation.”

You smiled.

“What reputation?”

“The man who always knows what to say.”

Your fingers curled around mine again.

I looked at you, my smile turning tender.

“Perhaps you can help me rebuild it.”

Then I paused, letting the playfulness return to my eyes.

“But I should warn you about something, beautiful.”

I brushed my thumb gently across your cheek.

“One kiss doesn't mean I've run out of things to discover about you. And it certainly doesn't mean our story has reached its ending.”

I glanced at our joined hands before meeting your eyes again.

“I still want to know what makes you laugh when nobody's watching. What keeps you awake on the nights you pretend you're perfectly fine. What kind of silence comforts you, and what kind makes you wish someone would simply hold your hand.”

My smile softened.

“Because I don't just want to be the man you imagine in your favourite paragraphs.”

“I want to be someone whose presence feels just as beautiful when there are no paragraphs at all.”

For a moment, I said nothing more.

Then I leaned closer, my voice dropping into a playful whisper.

“Although, my not-so-stranger, I reserve the right to steal a few more kisses if you keep looking at me like that.”

I laughed softly, and you shook your head as though I were impossible.

Perhaps I was.

Perhaps you were, too.

And maybe that was the beautiful part: we didn't need to have each other figured out to want to keep discovering what came next.

I squeezed your hand.

“So, tell me something, beautiful…”

I met your eyes, the familiar spark returning to mine.

“Now that I've finally answered your question without hiding behind my words, what happens when tomorrow arrives and the butterflies settle?”

I paused.

“Will we still find reasons to reach for each other's hands? Will we still tease each other over the smallest things? And when life becomes less like a romantic chapter and more like an ordinary Tuesday…”

I smiled, softer this time.

“Will you still want to discover me?”

Because the kiss was beautiful.

But the possibility of all the moments after it?

That was what made me want to stay.

Your turn, my not-so-stranger… ❤️‍

Now that our first kiss is no longer a question, tell me: what would you want our next ordinary moment together to look like—and what would make it feel extraordinary? ✨

You think I'll settle for something ordinary??!! Wait for my turn Mr 'Not - a Stranger anymore'
Oh is that a promise my not-so-stranger-anymore? ❤️

Now you've made me curious and you know curiosity is a dangerous thing when it comes to you I'll be waiting for your turn beautiful but don't blame me if I start imagining all the extraordinary ways you might surprise me.

The floor is yours my lady Just remember you've set the bar rather dangerously high! ✨

Let's break all the bars then.. Not even the sky is a limit for us.. I gotchaaaa Mr Lion
Careful my fearless queen❤️

A lion never fears a challenge especially when it comes from a woman who seems determined to keep him on his toes.

Break all the bars? Raise the sky? I'm in

But remember you started this beautiful and I have a feeling that when two stubborn souls refuse to accept limits the real adventure isn't about how far they can go it's about how many beautiful moments they can create along the way.

Now come on my queen show your Mr Lion what you've got I'm watching. ✨

I'd rather keep u on ur knees :giggle:
Oh my fearless queen ❤️‍

You really do enjoy challenging your Mr Lion don't you?

But if you ever bring me to my knees beautiful make sure it's not just to prove you've won make it because you've given this proud lion a reason to smile surrender his stubbornness, and admit there's one woman who knows exactly how to leave him speechless.

Now tell me my queen are you always this dangerous or am I simply your favourite weakness? ❤️✨

Haha.. My mom caught me smiling at your messages :Cwl: :
What are you even doing to me :giggle: : well well well, whatever it is, it's not something I wish to end so soon.. :fingercross:
Well well well so the mighty queen has been caught smiling because of her Mr Lion? ❤️

I should probably apologise to your mom for stealing those smiles but honestly beautiful I'm not sure I can promise to stop.

And trust me I'm in no hurry to end this either Some conversations are too beautiful to rush some smiles are worth earning and some people make even an ordinary moment feel a little magical.

So let's take our time my queen and see just how many more smiles we can get you caught smiling at. ❤️‍✨

I can keep rereading your messages and smile at them every single time.. But I don't want my mother to catch me all the time.. Then you'll have to share me ur location.. I'm packing my bags ryt away :Cwl: then we can have as much laughter as we want :Cwl:

Well well my queen packing your bags already? ❤️‍

And here I was thinking I should warn you about the dangers of spending too much time with your Mr Lion Now look at you ready to travel just to escape your mom's watchful eyes!

But tell me beautiful if I share my location are you really coming for the laughter or have you secretly planned to steal all my attention too?

Because I should warn you once we're laughing together teasing each other and creating our own little memories I might just find a thousand excuses to make you stay a little longer.

Now finish packing my queen but don't forget to bring that smile Apparently it's my favourite thing to get you caught with. ❤️✨

Well, it seems the @The_LionHeart❤️ one has finally found his lioness queen! :Dream1:
Well well well ❤️

Looks like my lioness has finally stopped pretending she isn't the one stealing her lion's heart.

But tell me my queen did you find your LionHeart or did he simply recognise the one woman bold enough to challenge him steal his smiles and make him forget his roar?

Either way one thing is certain this lion has found someone who can match his wildness and still make his heart feel at home.

Now come closer my lioness let's see who falls harder. ❤️‍
