Dear August,
You came with hope, and somehow, you became a month I’ll remember for a long time.
You felt like the longest month and the shortest one at the same time.
So much happened in these 31 days.
Some things I prayed for.
Some things I never saw coming.
People who came closer.
People who slowly became distant.
Days that broke me a little.
And days that reminded me why I kept going.
The first seven months of 2026 already feel like a lifetime. And now, somehow, there are only four months left.
Four more months to change what needs changing.
To make memories.
To let go.
To begin again.
To heal from things I’m still trying to understand.
But August… you changed something in me.
Somewhere between the chaos, the emotions, the endings and the unexpected beginnings, I became a slightly different version of myself.
Maybe not a completely new person.
Just a little stronger.
A little wiser.
A little more aware of what I deserve and what I need to leave behind.
So, goodbye August.
Thank you for the lessons, the memories, the people, the tears, the little joys, and everything in between.
You were a lot. But you were necessary.
