Saturday does not need to begin by proving that it is useful.
Let the first drink stay warm long enough to be noticed. Let the room remain quiet before every device begins asking for attention. Let your body arrive before your obligations do.
The week trains us to consume mornings quickly.
Coffee is swallowed beside messages. Breakfast becomes fuel. Silence becomes unused space. Even rest is turned into another task to perform correctly.
But some things are restored only when they are allowed to take time.
God did not make every hour for acceleration.
There are mornings meant for receiving instead of producing.
Hold the cup with both hands. Notice the heat. Listen to the small sounds of the house. Allow the nervous system to learn that nothing is chasing it right now.
This is not laziness.
It is returning to a human pace.
The slower cup cannot fix every problem from the week. It can remind you that your life is more than the speed at which you solve them.
You are allowed to inhabit the beginning of the day before the world starts measuring it.
Drink slowly.
Let enoughness arrive before ambition wakes up again.
A gentle morning is not time lost. It is a reminder that you are a person before you become a schedule.
