It is hilarious, but it proves one thing: people rarely see their own bad behavior until they are on the receiving end. When they cause trouble, it is just a game, but when it happens to them, it is a tragedy. So, the next time the local troublemaker suddenly acts like a holy saint, just smile and enjoy the comedy show!

Absolutely true. People watch the spectacle of someone else's house burning until the sparks reach their own. When the boomerang of karma strikes back, even the most cunning manipulators transform into 'saints' just to avoid admitting their own wrongdoing. It is merely a mechanism for coping with their own guilt.
