Some trips are never planned,but somehow they become the most unforgettable chapters of life. 
Yesterday started like every other normal working day. Busy office, endless work, pressure all around. In fact, it was one of the busiest days I’ve had in a while. I thought the whole day would end in front of my system and files..
Then suddenly, her call came.
And in that half-serious, half-playful tone, she said,
“നീ വന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഇനി എന്നോട് മിണ്ടണ്ട..”
Funny enough, that was all it took.
Some people just have that kind of place in your life.
So somehow, against all odds, I escaped from work and went on a drive with her. And what started as an unexpected plan turned into one of the best experiences we ever had together.
An 8-hour drive, through forests wrapped in fog, endless rain showers, cold breeze, and that perfect romantic climate all along the road, passing beautiful paddy fields with a mountain backdrop.
There were moments of nonstop laughter,silly talks, deep conversations about life, dreams,fears and us.
We passed through beautiful little villages, tried local dishes from roadside shops, listened to songs while the rain touched the windows, and enjoyed every second like time had stopped just for us.
At one point, while driving through the misty roads, this line kept playing in my head..
"മഴത്തുള്ളികൾ പൊഴിഞ്ഞീടുമീ നാടൻ വഴി
നനഞ്ഞോടിയെൻ കുടക്കീഴിൽ നീ വന്നനാൾ
കാറ്റാലെ നിൻ ഈറൻമുടി ചേരുന്നിതെൻ മേലാകവേ
നീളുന്നൊരീ മൺപാതയിൽ തോളോടു തോൾ പോയീലയോ”
And honestly, that’s exactly how it felt.
Sometimes happiness is not about luxury trips or expensive destinations.
Sometimes it’s just about being with the right person on unknown roads, with rain outside and peace inside.
But every beautiful journey has an ending.
And by the time we returned, happiness slowly turned into that silent sadness you feel when a perfect day comes to an end.
“ചില യാത്രകൾ അവസാനിക്കരുത് എന്ന് തോന്നും
ചില നിമിഷങ്ങൾ നിൽക്കണം എന്ന് തോന്നും...”
