Yes, Gen Z is growing fast in technology. Everyone is active in everything, they are confident and smart. But honestly, I feel like they are falling behind in thinking and improving real knowledge.

A small example from my own family —
My cousin is in 7th class. He got a project from school. Instead of using his own brain and learning something new, he took the phone, searched in AI, selected a topic and just printed it out. He didn’t even read anything he copied.

Another example — a 5th class boy. He got homework in maths and other subjects. Without thinking even for a single second, he used AI and completed all subjects in 30 minutes. No effort… no understanding.

When we look at it this way…
The natural process of thinking — understanding “B” only after thinking about “A” —
is slowly disappearing.
If there is no room for learning through effort, how will real knowledge grow?

With this, I feel like the thinking process is slowly disappearing.
If everything is done by AI, how will knowledge grow?

And when we open reels, we see many kids spending hours on useless content. Hardly any video is helpful for their future. They have phone, Wi-Fi, apps, everything in their hand at a very young age.

Yes, technology is increasing rapidly.
But our ability to think on our own is decreasing.
That is the scary part…

Gen Z has influenced government changes in several countries, leading to significant political shifts and the toppling of governments in places like Bangladesh, Nepal, and Madagascar. These youth-led movements are often driven by frustration over corruption, economic inequality, and a lack of opportunities, and they are rapidly organized through social media and encrypted apps. While some protests led to the downfall of leaders and governments, others have resulted in policy changes or have had less definitive outcomes.

Examples of Gen Z-led protests leading to government change:
  • Nepal: A youth-led movement protested a social media ban and issues like corruption and inequality, which escalated into a nationwide movement that forced the resignation of Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli.
  • Bangladesh: Students and young professionals spearheaded protests against government corruption and job quotas, ultimately leading to the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the formation of an interim government.
  • Madagascar: Youth-led protests over issues like access to water and power led to the downfall of the previous government.
  • Indonesia: Protests fueled by concerns over economic issues and corruption led to government concessions and a cabinet reshuffle.
  • Sri Lanka: Economic mismanagement and corruption sparked protests that led to the ousting of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
  • Morocco: Protests against the government's spending on the 2030 World Cup instead of public services resulted in policy reversals.

Common drivers and methods of these movements:
  • Frustration over corruption: A major theme across many of the protests was anger over political corruption, cronyism, and a lack of transparent and efficient governance.
  • Economic hardship: Protesters were motivated by economic insecurity, rising costs of living, and a lack of job opportunities.
  • Rapid organization: The movements have leveraged social media and encrypted apps for quick and decentralized mobilization.
  • Impact of youth-centric demographics: In many of the affected regions, the large youth population provides a significant demographic base for political change, which can either lead to instability or development depending on governance.
