A distant glow and a half lit gleam,

But never thought that I’d live that line,
Then you arrived so pure and so true,
And now every poem I wrote was for you,
Suddenly my world grew soft and the skies turned kind,
Your voice became my only peace of mind,
You taught my soul what love could be,
A melody that set my soul free,
No fairytale and no fleeting flame,
Just passion whispering my name,
Now every dawn feels warm and new, Because now my heart belongs to you,
And if this life should fade from view, I’d find the stars and write to you,
So here’s my truth both deep and clear,
I seem to love you more with every passing years,
Before you came along I never really knew,
