Why god created mosquitoes?

I've only ever thought of mosquitoes as annoying buzzers and blood sucking devotees of Satan that propagate Malaria, Dengue and some other deadly diseases.

But your question got me curious about their role in ecosystem. This is what internet says -

1) Male mosquitoes suck nectar and other plant juices, so they help in pollination.

2) Mosquito larvae are food for acquatic organisms and birds too.

3) Adult mosquitoes are food for birds, bats, lizards, frogs...

P.S This doesn't mean you turn soft hearted, please feel free to butcher them all.

To suck our blood. And to explain that, even if they are small in size, they can cause diseases like dengue and malaria:ill::sad1:

Only Female Mosquitoes bite and suck blood and that too not to fill stomach. The females need the protein in blood to develop eggs.

As Freaky said, mosquitoes suck nectar from plants to fill stomach
