Youth idol

Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda (Volume 5):
I am proud to call myself a Hindu, I am proud that I am one of your unworthy servants. I am proud that I am a countryman of yours, you the descendants of the sages, you the descendants of the most glorious Rishis the world ever saw. Therefore have faith in yourselves, be proud of your ancestors, instead of being ashamed of them."

Please understand, its important to quote original text. Else the meaning maybe misunderstood.

I revere swamiji and have read all his works. Perhaps that is why a bit zealous about it.

One important aspect is he was against making person as ones idol
While he supported admiring great people, Swamiji was fiercely against imitation. He warned that trying to blindly copy the external traits, lifestyle, or habits of your idol leads to weakness, not strength
