From the Mahabharata
Arjuna – Master archer, son of Indra, central warrior in the Kurukshetra war.
Bhima – Known for his immense strength, son of Vayu (wind god).
Yudhishthira – Eldest Pandava, embodiment of dharma (righteousness).
Karna – Great warrior, son of the sun god Surya, famed for his generosity.
Abhimanyu – Son of Arjuna, known for his valor in the Chakravyuha battle formation.
Ghatotkacha – Bhima’s son with the rakshasi Hidimba, heroic figure in the war.
From the Ramayana
Rama – Prince of Ayodhya, seventh avatar of Vishnu, symbol of virtue.
Lakshmana – Rama’s devoted brother, loyal and courageous.
Hanuman – Monkey-god, embodiment of devotion, immense strength, and wisdom.
Bharata – Rama’s brother, upheld dharma by ruling as Rama’s regent.
Jatayu – The vulture king who fought Ravana to save Sita.

These heroes are not only celebrated for their physical strength but also for their dharma (righteousness), sacrifice, loyalty, and wisdom.

Like somany gopies around. And I would like to hide their cloths when they bath. ..... joking apart, the way he play politics,the way he favours truth, the way he gives justice ,the way he stands with poor friend, the way he respects elders ,the way he stands with female friends,lots to say the act he did as human not talking about his miracles.Last but not least his perfect winning strategies makes him my idol . I dont say God.

Hello and good evening Ms. . Extremely well explained and I agree on all of the above . I would also like to mention one more great mythological figure from the Mahabharata who is relatively unknown and that is Barbarik. I recently watched an animation video about him and he actually had the power to stop the war. But he decided to remain neutral . Well I can narrate the entire story about him but it's always better to hear it from the horses mouth. Anyways he is now known as Khatu Shyam jee and worshipped a lot specially in Rajasthan. One thing I would surely like to add here. You have a great knowledge of mythology which alas!!! in todays day and age with the genZ is fading. I have told my princess to start a mythology club in her school if she get's the permission for it. I am freak for all this stuff as when I was growing up there was no internet and stuff so all the knowledge I got was from my grand mom and my parents. I still have a collection of Amar Chitra Katha books which were a major source to teach us about all this. I encourage my princess to read them as well but they are all in Hindi and sorry to say aaj kal ke bacche are the new angrez. Hahhhaahhahaahaa. Cheers!!!!From the Mahabharata

When I think about Mythological Heroes, a few names always come to mind :
Ravanan, Lord Murugan, Hanuman, Lord Shiva, and Karna.
Ravanan -
the king of Lanka, embodies brilliance, courage, and devotion, teaching us that even great strength must be balanced with humility.
Lord Murugan -
the divine warrior and son of Shiva and Parvati, shows courage, wisdom, and compassion, reminding us that true leadership combines power with care for others.
Hanuman -
the devoted servant of Rama, represents loyalty, selfless devotion, and fearless courage, inspiring us to face challenges with integrity and faith.
Lord Shiva -
the supreme ascetic and destroyer of evil, demonstrates inner strength, discipline, and moral courage, showing that mastering oneself is a form of true heroism.
Karna -
the noble warrior of the Mahabharata, embodies generosity, loyalty, and resilience, teaching us that standing by our principles, even in adversity, is timelessly heroic.
To me, these heroes aren’t just stories, they’re lessons for life, showing that courage, wisdom, devotion, and moral strength matter just as much today as they did back then.
