Where Silence Burns

InkyWhispers

Favoured Frenzy
There's a wall of glass between us
I don't know who put it there
Maybe we built it together, slowly,silently...
But now it's here.
Cold.Clear.Unbreakable.
I press my palm on it.
He mirrors me,almost
His hand hovers, never touching
The fire rises around us
But we don't flinch
We just stare
like love could still survive the silence.
I want to scream
But the ache is louder than sound
He looks at me like he remembers every version of us
We are not touching
We are still burning
And somehow that feels like love too.

It's suffocating

This poem is stunning! The glass wall is a powerful symbol of emotional distance. The mirroring without touching is heartbreaking. "Somehow that feels like love too" is so poignant, capturing the complexity of love and longing.

Breathe breathe Certainly.

Each breath I take is not a gift, but trial,
A gasp that claws through silence, inch by mile.
The air, once light, now thick with things unsaid,
A weightless world that crushes like it's lead.

My lungs know grief; they taste it every night,
Like smoke from fires I could never fight.
The world keeps spinning, careless of my pace—
While I just breathe to occupy this space.

Each inhale burns with memories unmet,
Each exhale sighs with sorrows I forget.
I do not breathe to live—I breathe to try,
To keep from asking life the reason why.

Yet still I breathe—though cracked and out of tune,
A hollow flute beneath a weeping moon.
If breath be pain, then let it echo deep,
A song for those too hurt to even weep.

Love can be complex at times, but when it finds me again I hope it’s simple and tender. I’m done with complications.

Nice, comrade.
Breathe in every bit of happiness and exhale all your sorrows. Free yourself from every worry because you deserve love, commitment, and peace. Anything less has no place in your energy.

Love in silence. Apart, yet still burning
