We talked for one day

He had noticed a strange pattern.

Every time he started talking to a girl, the first day was always normal.

A few jokes.
A few late-night conversations.
A little flirting.

Then somehow, without warning, things changed.

One day of talking would turn into, “Why are you replying late?”

Two days later, “Where were you?”

And eventually

“You got another girl, didn't you? That's why you don't text me anymore. I knew you would do this. I know you very well.”

He would stare at his phone in silence.

I have known you for three days.

But he never said it.

He would simply put his phone down, lose the entire mood, and wonder how a casual conversation had somehow become an emotional commitment.

Then one day, he met someone different.

They talked for hours.

She didn't demand constant replies.

She didn't question every disappearance.

She didn't turn a quiet day into a betrayal.

So the next day, he didn't text her.

Not because he didn't care.

He was just busy living his own life.

That evening, his phone finally buzzed.

Her message said:

"Hey. Hope your day went well. Talk whenever you're free."

He smiled.

For the first time, he understood.

Maybe the problem wasn't that people caught feelings too quickly.

Maybe the problem was that he had gotten used to people confusing attention with attachment.

And sometimes, the healthiest connection was the one that didn't make you feel guilty for having a life outside of it.

Maybe ..
So maybe the problem isn't that ppl confuse attention with attachment ..
maybe he enjoys giving intimacy until someone's expects consistency .. he just wanted closeness without the responsibility that comes with it.
He didn’t find a girl who understood him .. he found someone who expected less .. big diff.

Acc to him ...the perfect girl asks nothing , expects nothing, complains about nothing .. just stays available wnvr he is in the mood for her .. if basic accountability feels lyk "attachment" to him .
Its convenient n tbh not healthy. He wanted boyfriend privileges with " I owe u nothing " or casual- boy accountability .. toxic

I hv always believed this .. If you find something too much .. u can go for less.
