Valentine's day ( A new perspective)

Today the whole world is celebrating 'LOVE '

"It's heartwarming to witness all these couples celebrating Valentine's Day." In zozo and in real world

Historically, I know that Valentine’s Day has been thought of as a day for celebrating romantic love, but it’s a day when I like to think about love in all its forms (although, in my opinion, we should do this every day!).

I can't explain how much I love the word "love"..it's tough to articulate my fondness for the word 'love'

Just for seeking love i chased Mirages !

Exhausted...Drained..suffocated...Tired ...both physically and mentally while chasing unrequited love!

That feeling of BEING REJECTED gave me anxiety and panic attacks!

Never understood why I was seeking validation, approval and attention from others

while I am the Giver of that love...I can validate...approve and love myself?!

I always ended up questioning myself

Why I am not lovable?

Why I am not good enough?

Why I am not worthy?

The search for answers lead to obsessive thoughts!!

But..

The universe has its unique way of answering all my questions and send an Angel to answer all those!!

He is God of love and abundance...he knows nothing but to love unconditionally!

" people who don't love themselves are often driven by chronic fear of abandonment " so practice self-love

He replied!

This gave a thought..yeah ..this is not the first time I am listening about "self love" concept!!

But always thought self love is selfish..
.
I asked..

How can someone love themselves?

learning to be at peace with yourself allows you to become a happier person. When you let go of your negative self-talk, self-doubt and self-criticism with the power of self-love, happiness and positivity will naturally follow suit.

He replied..

He also added

Cultivating self-love is the starting point to having the life you want — a life where you feel empowered, confident, happy, loved, inspired, and so much more. And although it takes work — self-love is a practice where you choose to love yourself even when you’re feeling tired, weak, broken, insecure, like an impostor, and more — the end result is worth it!

He also taught me how to use positive affirmations to love myself..

Repeating these statements may seems silly at first, but words have POWER. ..Think of positive affirmations as brain exercises; they can help you reprogram your thinking patterns into more positive ones over time. He explained...

He asked me to practice these
self-love affirmations for Valentine's Day!!

---I am perfect, just the way I am

----I am constantly growing, evolving and becoming my best self

---I am a constant work in progress

---I am proud of who I am becoming

----I am learning to love myself more everyday

----I accept my failures, but they do not define me

----I am not less for making mistakes. I am more because I learn from them.

---My goal is progress, not perfection

---I am worthy of love, with my flaws and all

----I will treat myself with the kindness

-----My imperfections make me unique

-----I will not apologize for being me

-----I will set my boundaries and reinforce them

-----My body does not determine my worth

-----I will accept my body the way it is today

----I care for my health, not for my body to look a certain way

-----I am grateful for this mind, body and soul

----One bad day does not make me a bad person

----I will send love to my worries and doubts

----I will let go of things that no longer serve me

----I choose to let go of people, things and mindsets that hold me back

----I will let go of feelings of guilt and negativity, for they do not serve me

----I do not expect myself to be perfect

----I will live my life for myself, not for others

----I will accept any and all compliments with grace

----I am just as deserving of love as anyone else

----I practice self-compassion when I do not succeed

----I do not need anyone to feel worthy

----I trust in my ability to make it through difficult times

----My life is full of opportunities for success and happiness

----I will love myself so that I can love others more

----I forgive others, as this serves my inner peace

---I am deeply loved by the people around me

---My worth is not tied to how much I get done
---I choose to fill my life with love and joy

---Today, I choose to focus on me

----I am beautiful inside and out

----I am letting go of judgement and criticism of myself and others

-----I am a unique gift to the world

---I will cherish my relationship with myself

So..why not use valentine's day as starting point to love myself.. I thought!!

We all can practice these... because " To love others , we need to love ourselves first"!!

We all can practice these... because " To love others , we need to love ourselves first"!!

Happy valentine's day to all my zozo family✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️

Didn't notice or this thread was hidden from my eyes until now. Belated valentines day wishes. Guess it's not the only day we love and celebrate it. This is one elaborately well put post about love. Love can't be categorised as this and that. Self love is one form of love which should be celebrated. If one can't love themselves then they'll never be happy with the love they get from others. Not sure if it's your story or something. Best wishes for you and your love. Keep loving. Never stop. Peace ✌️
