We spend so much time being embarrassed by the things that turn out to matter most.
I used to think I was too much. Too in my head. Too emotionally aware. Too 'serious' for casual conversations.
Turned out — the people I value most, value exactly that. The 'too much' was always just too much for the wrong people.
Reframes that changed things:
'I get too attached' → 'I'm capable of real depth. Not everyone has that.'
'I overthink everything' → 'I notice things other people miss. And I care about getting it right.'
'I'm too sensitive' → 'I feel things fully. That means I'm also capable of fully feeling joy.'
'I give too much' → 'I love generously. The problem was never the giving — it was the direction.'
