Lucy became more nervous as everything went silent but continued to walk onwards , "he is here , I can sense it" thought Lucy , moments later The Shadow of Whitechapel saw Lucy and began to follow her , "alright men , there he is , The Shadow has taken the bait" whispered the Inspector.
The Inspector and his men continued to follow Lucy and The Shadow as they walked towards the poorer area of Whitechapel. Suddenly Lucy and The Shadow walked around a corner and the Inspector and his men had lost sight of them , "damn! , we've lost them" said the Inspector as he looked around frantically , Lucy was now in grave danger as The Shadow of Whitechapel was right behind her.
As Lucy walked into a dark alley The Shadow of Whitechapel followed her , moments later The Shadow grabbed her from behind and took his knife out of his pocket. Meanwhile the Inspector grew desperate to find Lucy , "Lucy must be close , spread out and search these three streets" said the Inspector , meanwhile back in the alley...Lucy struggled to escape from The Shadow of Whitechapel's grip.
She saw his knife moving in front of her and then hit him in the abdomen with her elbow , The Shadow lost his grip and Lucy started to run through the dark alley towards the exit. The Shadow became enraged and chased after her , the Inspector searched frantically and then he heard the sound of shoe heels against the cobblestones and ran towards the direction it was coming from.
As the Inspector ran towards the sound he drew his gun and prepared himself for a showdown with The Shadow of Whitechapel. Just as Lucy was just about to escape from the alley The Shadow grabbed her and dragged her back in , Lucy tried to escape from his grip once again but he was to strong , The Shadow ripped her dress and pinned her to the wall.
Lucy continued to struggle and then The Shadows hand slipped just enough for a scream to escape from Lucy's mouth , The Shadow quickly covered her mouth and gripped his knife firmly. A moment later The Shadow lifted his right arm into the air and was about to thrust his knife into her , suddenly the Inspector had arrived just in time , "drop the knife now , we have you surrounded!!" Shouted the Inspector as he pointed his gun at The Shadow.
The Shadow looked around but there was nowhere to escape to this time , seconds later The Shadow held his knife tighter and thrust it towards Lucy. "BANG , BANG , BANG" the Inspector fired three shots from his gun , the three bullets hit The Shadow in the arm and leg , The Shadow dropped his knife and fell to the ground and Lucy ran towards the Inspector as he blew his whistle.
Seconds later the alley was swarming with police officers , the Inspector and Lucy watched as the officer's surrounded The Shadow. "There is no escape now" said the Inspector as he and Lucy walked up to The Shadow , "get up now!" Said the Inspector as he pointed his gun towards The Shadow , a moment later the Shadow reached out towards his knife , "don't even try it" said the Inspector.
As The Shadows hat fell off the Inspector ordered the constable to remove the mask , "yes sir , gladly" said the constable as he kneeled down beside The Shadow. "Let us see who The Shadow of Whitechapel really is" said Lucy , the constable removed the mask then everyone had a look of shock on their faces , "you!!" Said the Inspector as he pointed the gun a little lower and saw The Shadows face.
"It is you Matthew...you are The Shadow of Whitechapel..." Said Lucy , "hahahahaha , had you all fooled didn't I , so stupid all of you" said Matthew. "Ugh I cannot believe I had sex with you...I feel sick.." said Lucy as she turned away , "hahaha the sex was good but could've been better" said Matthew , "you evil , cruel bastard!!" Said Lucy , a moment later Lucy slapped Matthew hard.
Matthew continued to laugh at her as the Inspector moved a little closer , "how dare you , why did you murder all those women?" Asked the Inspector. "Why?? , that's an easy question , I murdered those women because I could...it was fun to murder them , Jack The Ripper inspired me , hahahaha" said Matthew , "you are deranged , you sick bastard" said Lucy ,

"Come on little miss Lucy kill me....I know you want to haha" said Matthew , "you are a madman , you can hang for your crimes you monster!" Said Lucy as she handed the Inspector the knife. "Thank you Lucy , Doctor Matthew Frost I am placing you under arrest for multiple murder" Said the Inspector , the Inspector said the name of every victim to Matthew as he recited the rights and had his officers drag him away to police headquarters.
"Finally Whitechapel is free of that monster" said the Inspector , "yes Inspector , but Jack The Ripper inspired Matthew to murder all those women , what if it happens again" said Lucy. "Then we will be here to stop it" said the Inspector as he put his gun away , "it has been a long day Inspector , time to go home and rest" said Lucy , "yes a good idea" said the Inspector as he smiled at her.

Doctor Matthew Frost also known as The Shadow of Whitechapel was successfully tried for murder and sentenced to death by the judge. The day after the sentencing Matthew was hanged for his gruesome and terrible crimes , later that day Lucy and the Inspector were sat in the pub talking , "all this business with The Shadow of Whitechapel makes me wonder" said Lucy.
"Oh what about?" Said the Inspector , "I wonder what happened to Jack The Ripper" said Lucy , "maybe he died or maybe he just simply left Whitechapel" said the Inspector , "hmm , I guess we shall never know Inspector" said Lucy as the Inspector drank his beer and Lucy looked through the pub window , for a moment as Lucy looked through the window she thought she saw a man wearing a black suit , top hat and a mask standing there amongst the thick fog , "what are you looking at" said the Inspector.
As Lucy blinked the man she saw amongst the fog had vanished , "for a moment I thought I saw...." Said Lucy , "saw what?" Said the Inspector , "I thought I saw Jack The Ripper..." Said Lucy as the Inspector looked through the window. "There's nothing there" said the Inspector , "hmm the weather must be playing tricks on me , I could swear I saw him" said Lucy as she stared through the window.
