The next day 21:47 pm...
The Inspector and Lucy prepared to put their plan into action , "we shall go through the plan one more time" said the Inspector."Ok Inspector I'm listening" said Emily , "you walk around the streets whilst Lucy and myself stay close" said the Inspector , "yes but not to close , we do not want The Shadow of Whitechapel to suspect anything" said Lucy , as Emily nodded.
"My men will be wearing plain clothing so The Shadow of Whitechapel doesn't get alerted to our presence" said the Inspector. "Are you ready Emily?" Asked Lucy , "yes , I hope nothing goes wrong" said Emily , "don't worry , we will catch him before he can harm you" said the Inspector , a few minutes later Emily left the house and began to walk down the cobblestone street.
The Inspector and Lucy walked through amongst the darkness as they followed Emily , as they continued to follow her Emily had a feeling she was not alone. As Emily walked towards the old factory The Shadow of Whitechapel began to follow her , "you shall die , there must be no witnesses..." Thought The Shadow as he followed her closely , "look Inspector! , it's The Shadow of Whitechapel!" Whispered Lucy.
"We must reach her before he murder's her" whispered the Inspector as he and Lucy moved through the shadows quicker. "Where are your men Inspector?" Asked Lucy , "I have them following Emily at a distance , I ordered them to stay near the alley's" said the Inspector , a few minutes later The Shadow of Whitechapel grabbed Emily from behind and dragged her into the alley.
"Oh no! , he's got Emily!" Said Lucy , the Inspector and Lucy ran towards the alley as Emily struggled to get out of The Shadow of Whitechapel's grip. Suddenly The Shadow's hand slipped just enough for Emily to scream , "AHH , POLICE!" screamed Emily , a moment later the inspector's men blew their whistles , The Shadow of Whitechapel let go and ran away towards the edge of the alley.
"Where do you think you're going said!" Said the Inspector as he pointed his gun at The Shadow of Whitechapel , The Shadow looked around frantically for an escape. "Do not even try to escape or I'll shoot!" Said the Inspector , The Shadow made a run for it and tried to climb over the wall , "BANG!" , the Inspector fired his gun and shot The Shadow in the shoulder.
A moment later The Shadow fell to the ground and started to bleed out , Lucy and the inspector's men rushed into the alley and surrounded The Shadow and Emily. "Are you alright Emily?" Asked Lucy , "yes i am ok , I thought I was going to die" said Emily , "don't move!" Said the Inspector as The Shadow tried to get up , "you are under arrest for multiple murder's" said the Inspector.
Suddenly The Shadow moved fast and thrust his knife towards Emily , "Emily look out!" Shouted Lucy as The Shadow of Whitechapel just as he was about to thrust his knife into Emily's back. "BANG , BANG!" the Inspector fired two shots and took The Shadow down before he could murder Emily , "he won't be killing anyone anymore" said the Inspector as he put his gun away.
"Let us take that mask off and see who The Shadow of Whitechapel is!" Said Lucy as she kneeled down , she grabbed his mask and slowly took it off. "What?!! , no it can't be him...." Said Lucy in shock , "who is it?" Asked the Inspector , "it...it is my brother William..." Said Lucy , suddenly William groaned as blood dripped onto the cobblestones , "ugh , what happened...what is going on.." said William.
"You were about to kill Lucy , you are The Shadow..." Said the Inspector , "ugh how did I get here..." Said William , "ok men get his wounds seen to and then lock him up" said the Inspector. A few moments later the inspector's men picked William up off the ground and took him away to the temporary headquarters , a few minutes later Lucy and the Inspector took Emily home and made sure she was ok.
"Thank you Inspector and you too Lucy" said Emily , "no need to thank me , just doing my duty" said the Inspector , Lucy hugged Emily and then a few minutes later she and the Inspector left her home. As Lucy and the Inspector walked through the streets towards the temporary police headquarters Emily lay sat on her chair and closed her eyes , "I cannot believe my brother William is The Shadow of Whitechapel" said Lucy.
"I was certainly surprised" said the Inspector , "I know him , he would never harm anyone" said Lucy , "hmm I suppose you can never truly know what someone is capable of" said the Inspector. "Something does not feel right" said Lucy , "what are you getting at?" Asked the Inspector , "I am not sure yet Inspector , William seemed confused when we caught him" said Lucy.
"Well I had shot him a few times and he lost a fair amount of blood" said the Inspector , "hmm I suppose you are right" said Lucy as they had finally arrived at the temporary police headquarters. "How is William doing?" Asked the Inspector , "he will be alright , I asked the coroner to treat him , he took the bullets out and gave him some stitches" said the police constable , "thank you" said Lucy.
Meanwhile at Emily's home...
As Emily slept in her chair beside the fireplace thunder began to rumble outside , suddenly something had awoken her from her sleep. "Hello...is there someone there?" Said Lucy , she got up from her chair and looked around , "hmm the Inspector must have forgotten to close the door properly" said Emily as rain began to fall , just after Emily closed the door lightning flashed amongst the clouds.
A moment later Emily was attacked from behind , she felt a knife being plunged into her over and over again in a frenzy , "it is him...The Shadow of Whitechapel..." thought Emily as her screams were muffled , moments later she felt the cold steel blade against her neck as he slit her throat open. Blood gushed out and splattered across the walls and carpet and then her body fell to the floor , a moment later The Shadow slashed her abdomen open and removed her organs.
The Shadow of Whitechapel slashed her face and cut off her left ear and left hand , "they will never catch me..." Said The Shadow as he threw her organs around the hallway. A moment later he continued to slash her body butchering it , more blood splattered across the walls as he cut out her heart , after he had finished butchering Emily's body he left the house and vanished into the darkness...
