Lord Henry stumbled and fell onto the ground as the headless horseman moved ever closer towards him, "stay back!, do not kill me!" Said Lord Henry. Meanwhile inside the private house Serena looked through the window and saw Lord Henry crawling across the ground trying to escape from the headless horseman, a moment she looked around the room for something to use and found Lord Henry's rifle.
She checked the rifle to make sure it was already loaded and then went outside, Serena had never fired a gun before but she had no choice. She aimed the rifle at the headless horseman and then fired, "BANG!", the bullet flew through air straight towards the headless horseman, the horse neighed loudly and stood on its hind legs for a moment as the headless horseman held on to the reigns.
Moments later the headless horseman rode away back into the fog and vanished, Serena ran towards Lord Henry and helped him up off the ground. "Are you alright Lord Henry?" Asked Serena, "yes thank you Serena, I dread to think what would happened if you had not come out to help" said Lord Henry, Serena looked around to see if she could find any blood on the ground.
"Hmm look there is blood here!" Said Serena as she looked closely, "hmm how strange, the headless horseman is a ghost and ghosts do not bleed..." Said Lord Henry. A few moments later Serena and Lord Henry went inside the manor, "thank you again Serena, I shall head to bed and rest" said Lord Henry, "very well sir, I shall do the same" said Serena as Lord Henry walked up the stairs.
December 5th, 16:52 pm...
Lord Henry had spent half of the day with Doctor Tremas and his assistant Jacob in the village pub whilst Serena remained at home doing her maid duties. Lord Henry had told Doctor Tremas and his assistant Jacob about the recent event involving the headless horseman, "I say, that must have been a frightening experience Lord Henry" said Doctor Tremas, "yes if were not for Serena I may have died" said Lord Henry, "you were lucky she was there" said Jacob, "there was one strange thing though" said Lord Henry.
"What was that?" Asked Jacob, "just after Serena shot at the headless horseman we found blood on the floor" said Lord Henry. "How is that strange?" Asked Jacob, "the headless horseman is supposed to be a ghost and yet obviously the gunshot hit him and made him bleed" said Lord Henry, "hmm I see, then the headless horseman is not what he appears to be" said Jacob, "exactly Mr Frye" said Lord Henry.
"Well it is time to go" said Doctor Tremas, "yes, we have some work to finish" said Jacob, as Doctor Tremas leaned over to tie the loose lace on his shoe he groaned in pain a little. "Are you alright Doctor?" Asked Lord Henry, " yes I am quite alright Lord Henry, I injured my shoulder last night when I was working late" said Doctor Tremas, "well I hope you feel better soon Doctor" said Lord Henry.
A few moments later Lord Henry said goodbye to Doctor Tremas and his assistant Jacob and then headed back home just as the sun was starting to set. He ride his favourite horse through the field's as fast as he could hoping that the headless horseman would not reappear, eventually he had made it home safely just after sunset and entered the manor to find Serena making some tea.
"That tea smells good Serena" said Lord Henry, "thank you sir, here you go" said Serena as she handed him a cup of tea, Lord Henry smelled the aroma and then took a sip. "Mm it tastes good, this may be my favourite tea from now on, what is in it?" said Lord Henry, "oh just the regular ingredients with a little bit of crushed rose petal and a dash of strawberry juice" said Serena.
Lord Henry drank more tea and then placed the cup down upon the table, "mmm, rose and strawberry?, that is what I smelled before when I passed out" said Lord Henry. "Hmm maybe I had made the same tea that day but I do not think so" said Serena, lord Henry picked up the cup and finished the tea as Serena went back to her duties, "mm delicious, sweet with a beautiful fragrance just like...her..." Said Lord Henry.
Moments later Lord Henry stood up and became a little dizzy, "it...it is happening again.." mumbled Lord Henry as he stumbled around a little as he walked slowly into the hallway. "Sir!, are you alright" said Serena as she saw him fall to his knees, "Serena...you are so...beau..." Said Lord Henry, he placed his hand on her cheek and then passed out before he could finish his sentence.
Serena lifted him up off the ground and slowly took him up the stairs towards his bedroom, several minutes later she reached his bedroom and then placed him on the bed. Moments later Lord Henry awoke to see Serena standing there in front of him, his vision blurred but could still see her a little, "Serena...." Said Lord Henry, "shhh do not speak, lie down and relax, let me take care of you.." said Serena.
Lord Henry lay back as Serena looked at him and slowly undressed herself, she slipped out of her scarlet red dress and revealed her tight red corset and stockings. Moments later Serena climbed onto the bed and began to undress Lord Henry, "you look...so..." Said Lord Henry, but before he could finish what he was saying, Serena placed her finger on his lips and said "shh do not speak, I shall make you feel better...".
