We stood amongst the darkness
So very cold and heartless
One day a hooded figure appeared before a friend and me
His face shrouded and hidden we could not see
I realised it was the reaper standing there
He looked at my friend and seemed to stare
Our eyes closed as we backed away
We wished for him to go and return another day
The reaper faded away and we were free
My friend thought "he shall come back for you or me"
The final day had come and my friend was close to death
The reaper had returned just as he breathed his last breath
I ran as far away and as fast as I could
I vanished into the shadows and lifted my hood
The reaper searched but could not find me
I stayed amongst the shadows , I was safe and free
As long as the reaper could not find me I had immortality
I stayed in the shadows forevermore
Everyone turned to dust and became no more
I could not help but to frown
I had to take the reaper down
The reaper came closer than ever before
I hoped he wouldn't find me and send me to nevermore
I attacked the reaper and vanquished him
The light around me seemed less dim
I sighed and took a deep breath
I had vanquished the reaper forever and live in a world free from death
