A few hours later the weather had calmed down , "ok it's time to move on" said Lynx as he opened the stable doors , he climbed on top of his horse and said "you might as well take Seraphi's horse she won't be needing it anymore". Valeria climbed onto the horse and then they rode out of the town and headed away from the romiou mountains , they rode onwards as fast as they could across the snow until they reached a lake near the coast , they stopped beside the lake and looked around.
The lake glowed bright blue as multicoloured birds and fireflies flew around above it , suddenly they could hear singing coming from the coast , they rode ahead a little further and saw a woman swimming in the water. The stones around the edges of the beach shimmered in the light , Lynx and Valeria stopped their horses and climbed off them , they walked closer to the edge of the beach , "hello , my name is Valeria and I'm Lynx" they said as they smiled.
The woman in the water turned around and looked at them , "ah hello visitor's , welcome to my home , my name is Celestia" said the woman , Celestia moved a little closer to the shore then suddenly swung her tail out of the water a little. "You're a mermaid" said Lynx , Celestia smiled as they looked at her in amazement , "We've never seen a mermaid before , only heard rumours" said Valeria , "would you like to come and visit my sanctuary" said Celestia.
"Yes , we would love to visit your sand" said Lynx and Valeria , Celestia's hands glowed as she used her magic , "umm what are you doing" asked Lynx as he prepared to reach for his sword. "You are human, you cannot breathe underwater , my magic will protect you" said Celestia , a few minutes later Lynx and Valeria walked into the water and floated next to Celestia , "what about our horses" said Lynx , "do not worry about your horses friend's , they will be safe and looked after by a friend of mine" said Celestia.
Lynx and Valeria followed Celestia under the waves and swam towards her sanctuary , they swam deeper into the sea for a short while until suddenly they could see a building shining amongst the darkness. "There it is my sanctuary" said Celestia as she smiled and pointed towards it , they swam closer and closer for a few minutes until they had finally arrived at Celestia's sanctuary , they opened the strange door and went inside , moments later they shut the door and the water drained out of the small room they were in.
"Welcome to my sanctuary" said Celestia as she slowly opened the large door in front of them...
