Sam an Kal were standing in the presence of Lucifer himself, Lucifer's arm's chained to the wall as flame's surged around him. "Look he's trapped!" Said Kal, "yes like the symbol's on the wall said before.." said Sam, "how can chains keep Lucifer imprisoned, he's the devil, isn't he supposed to be able to do anything?" Said Kal, "yes but for some reason he can't use his full power for some reason" said Sam.
"Well he was able to possess Jack..." Said Kal, "hmm yes maybe that's all he can do until he gets free" said Sam, "then we need to make sure he never gets out" said Kal. Sam pointed his gun at Lucifer and prepared to fire, then suddenly Lucifer began to speak, "if you try to destroy me you shall destroy yourself..." Said Lucifer in an ominous tone of voice, "I don't think so!" Said Sam.
"Wait!, remember he's the devil, he is brilliantly clever and won't go down easily.." said Kal, "hmm there must be a way to take him down.." thought Sam. "We should talk to the others and let them know about our progress" said Kal, Captain Cross are you there?" Said Sam, "I'm here, what's happening down there?" Asked Captain Cross, "we found him....Lucifer..." Said Sam.
"I see, I have some news as well, We killed Jack but he killed River and Zari..." Said Captain Cross, a moment later another voice came through. "Are you alright Sam?" Asked Vanessa, "it's good to hear your voice Vanessa, yes I'm alright" said Sam, "I want to tell you something while I still can" said Vanessa, "what is it?" Asked Sam, "I should have said this a while ago, I love you.." said Vanessa.
"I love you too Vanessa" said Sam, "isn't that nice!" Said Kal, "congratulations it took you two long enough" said Captain Cross. "I have a plan to take Lucifer down.." said Sam, "we'll talk soon" said Sam, "how are we supposed to kill the devil exactly??" Said Kal, "leave that to me" said Sam, a moment later Sam paced back and forth around the large room and looked around.
"What's that over there?" Said Sam, "what?" Said Kal as Sam walked towards a wall, "there are more symbol's here" said Sam. "Can you read them?" Said Kal, "hmm maybe, let me try" said Sam as he looked closely at the symbol's, Lucifer began to speak once again, " you cannot stop me, when the moon moves into the right position I shall be free..." Said Lucifer.
"Oh be quiet Lucifer we're trying to read!" Said Kal, Lucifer became enraged and roared loudly at Kal and Sam, "I know what to do!" Said Sam. A few moments later Sam walked to a dull orb that was sitting on top of a pedestal, Kal stood beside him and kept an eye on Lucifer, Sam placed his hand on the dull orb and then a moment later it suddenly started to glow in a white light.
"Get back Kal" said Sam as he pointed the gun at the orb, "what are you doing?" Asked Kal, I have to destroy the orb, the orb is what's preventing the moon from being pulled into the black sun" said Sam. "So we destroy that and we take down Lucifer as well?" Said Kal, "exactly!" Said Sam, "let's do it!, we're all as good as dead anyway without my ship" Said Kal as he scratched his head.
Just as Sam was about to fire, Lucifer spoke again, "destroying the orb means you will be killing your friend's..." Said Lucifer. Sam remained silent then hesitated, "you will kill your beloved Vanessa?" Said Lucifer, "don't listen to him, he's just trying to stop you from destroying him" said Kal, "if you set me free I shall give you the power's of a god..." Said Lucifer.
"If Vanessa was down here with me she would tell me to destroy you, you cannot be allowed to escape this moon" said Sam. Seconds later Sam fired a shot and destroyed the orb. "NOOOOOOOOO!" roared Lucifer in anger, moments later the ground shook even stronger than ever before as the ceiling began to cave in and the moon started to move from it's orbit, "if I'm going to die here then so are you" shouted Sam.
Flame's burst all around Lucifer as the room continued to cave in, rock's smashed into the ground all around Sam and Kal. "You did the right thing " said Kal, "I know...I wish Vanessa was in my arms.." said Sam.
Meanwhile up above in the base...
"What's going on?" Said Vanessa as she held onto a rail tightly as the entire base shook, "it must be another quake, wait!, the moon is moving out of orbit towards the black sun!" Said Captain Cross. "We're going to die..." Said Vanessa, "I'm sorry... I've failed you, I've failed all of you..." Said Captain Cross.
Back in the depths of Korsair...
Sam and Kal fell onto the ground and then rolled into something metallic, "ugh what's that?" Said Sam, "it's my ship!!, it must have fallen through from a cave above!" Said Kal. "Then we can escape!" Said Sam, Kal stood up and opened the ships door and went inside, "come on get in quickly" said Kal, Sam rushed into Kal's ship and closed the door, Kal fired up the engine and moments later the ship de-materialised, Lucifer roared angrily as rock's fell onto him.
Meanwhile in the control room...
"What's that sound?" Said Vanessa, "I don't know" said Captain Cross as the base continued to shake, moments later Kal's ship materialised inside the control room. The door opened and a bright white light filled the doorway, "come with me..." Said Sam as he reached his hand out towards Vanessa, a moment later Vanessa held his hand and then Sam helped her inside the ship.
Moments later Captain Cross entered the ship and then closed the door. "Ok let's get the hell out of here" said Sam as he held Vanessa in his arm's. After a few moments the ship de-materialised and then reappeared in space, "ugh damn, the ship is caught in the black sun's extreme gravitational force" said Kal, "get us away from it" said Captain Cross, "I'm trying but I can't" said Kal. As his ship began to move towards the black sun.
