"Wait!, I have an idea!" Said Kal as he pressed a few buttons then pulled a lever, what're you doing?" Asked Sam, "I'm jettisoning the unused stuff I have in the cargo bay!" Said Kal as he pulled one more lever, moments later the contents of the ships carbo bay were flushed out into space, "ah that's better!" Said Kal as he pressed a few button's, "now what?" Said Vanessa.
"The ship is free of the gravitational force!" Said Kal as he turned on the monitor screen, several moments later the ship was a safe distance away from the black sun. Sam, Vanessa, Captain Cross and Kal looked at the monitor as the moon got pulled into the black sun, "there you go, Korsair is no more and Lucifer has been vanquished" said Kal, "so we're safe now?" Asked Captain Cross.
"Yes completely safe Captain!" Said Kal as Sam and Vanessa held each other close and kissed deeply, "well looks like someone's happy!" Said Kal and then he smiled. "Time to go home then" said Captain Cross, "ah yes, where is your home exactly?" Asked Kal, "Earth!, to be more precise my home is in Vermont" said Captain Cross, "ah the states!, how about you Sam, Vanessa" said Kal.
"Sydney, Australia for me" said Vanessa, "England for me..." Said Sam, "hmm you don't seem so sure about that Sam.." said Kal.
Half an hour later...
Alright Captain Cross we're here, Vermont, United States!" Said Kal, "thank you Kal, thanks for bringing me home" said Captain Cross as he opened the ships door. "Goodbye friend!" Said Kal as Captain Cross left the ship, "goodbye Captain!" Said Sam and Vanessa, "now then what about you two?" Said Kal, "hmm there's nothing left for me back home in England..." Said Sam.
"You should come to Sydney with me!" Said Vanessa, "that's what I was thinking!, but I do need to sort things out first" Said Sam. "I can help with that, my ship is also a time machine" said Kal, "brilliant!" Said Sam.
Several hours later in England...
"That's everything on board and paperwork is sorted" said Sam, "ok then time to head to Australia!" Said Kal, a short time later the ship landed in Sydney, Australia at Vanessa's home. "We're here" said Kal, moments later Vanessa and Kal helped Sam move his belongings into the house, half an hour later Sam and Vanessa sat down on the sofa as Kal stood in the doorway of his ship.
"Well it's been cool meeting you but I need to go" said Kal, "where you headed next, home?" Asked Sam, "no...no my home is...gone, my planet burned during the war, it's nothing but dust and rocks now" said Kal. "Oh sorry to hear that, I'm sure you have many places to explore out there though!" Said Vanessa, "yes!, I'm going to see them all or at least try ha!" Said Kal.
Moments later Sam and Vanessa said goodbye and watched as Karl's ship de-materialised, "I'm going to love it here" said Sam as he held Vanessa in his arm's. "I love you" said Vanessa, "I love you too" said Sam.
Meanwhile in deep space where Korsair once orbited the black sun...
A voice began to speak amongst the darkness of the black sun, "I cannot die...I am eternal...the lord of darkness and flames...I am Lucifer!". Moments later Lucifer's sinister laugh echoed throughout the planetary system..."hahahaha...I am free!" Said Lucifer...
