The Assassin
Epic Legend
As the moonlight shone through the cracks between the dark clouds Kassandra had arrived back in Ashwood Hollow , she walked through streets as the storm continued batter the town. A few minutes later she saw a man acting strangely and followed them , she followed them past the graveyard and through a couple of streets until the man stopped , the man looked around to make sure if he was being watched and then kneeled down.
As the man kneeled down he lifted a lid up and climbed down into the sewers , "why is he going down into the sewers" thought Kassandra as the man moved the lid back into place. A moment later Kassandra walked over towards it and moved the lid out of the way , "I cannot believe I am doing this..." Said Kassandra as she slowly climbed down into the sewers , a few moments later she had reached the bottom and a group of rats ran past her.
She looked around and saw a light coming from the other end of the sewer , "why is there a light down here?" She thought as she started to walk through the sewer. She walked onwards and followed the direction of the light until she saw the man , she stayed out of sight and watched as the man appeared to walk through a wall , "what the...where did he go" thought Kassandra , a moment later she walked through the tunnel and stood where the man had stood.
"Hmm , there must be a secret passage here somewhere" thought Kassandra , she looked around her but saw nothing then as she stepped a little closer towards the wall something clicked and the wall began to open. "I must have stepped on something" she thought , a moment later she walked into the hidden tunnel and followed it until she reached a room , "what? , why is there a room in the sewers" thought Kassandra , she quickly moved out of sight herself as she heard the man moving closer.
Kassandra peeked out of cover and saw a table and shelves with books and potion bottles on them , " what is he up to" she thought as the man worked on his experiments. "Hmm I have almost completed my work" said the man , as he dropped a few ingredients inta bowl and stirred them , "I shall be unstoppable , everyone in Ashwood Hollow will soon be afraid of me" said the man as Kassandra listened to him rambling on an on.
Suddenly the man turned around and said , "who's there?!" and grabbed his knife off the table , he moved closer and closer towards Kassandra and looked around. A few moments later as Kassandra blended into deeper the shadows the man continued with his experiments , "that was close" thought Kassandra as she silently left the room and walked through the sewers as fast as she could , a few minutes later Kassandra was back outside on the surface.
She swiftly climbed up the nearest building and crouched on the rooftop and waited for the man to come out , ten minutes later the man emerged from the sewers and began walking through the streets. "Let us see where you're going" thought Kassandra , she ran and jumped across the rooftops as she followed the man as he walked through the shadows , a few minutes or so later the man had arrived at his destination.
"Ah so this must be his home" thought Kassandra as she watched the man go inside , a few moments later strange lights glowed inside the man's house and blue smoke came out of the chimney. "What is he doing in there" said Kassandra as she moved to get a closer look...
