This is so, lovely composition but so saddening. God bless you and your writingNightcrawler
With each clump that falls at my feet,
the leash grows longer
and my head feels lighter.
The only sound -
the static of the bulb,
sounds like complaints
for being disturbed
at such an ungodly hour.
Paying it no thought,
the scissors eat through my hair
like a starving kid.
But just one meal is not enough
to allay the greedy,
they keep coming back each night
with a greater appetite
eating away parts of me,
shaping the stranger in me.

The words you narrated are highly appreciated. I am damn sure there is lovely poetess inside you trying to come out. Just close your eyes. Dont try to stop whatever comes up to your mind , good or bad, scaring or loving , just observe it . The only way to bypass it. ... and yes then put them in words , you are good at it.
