The next day Odysseus and Athena left the Spartan village and travelled onwards towards for a couple of days and found themselves in a forest of dead trees, "I feel like I'm being watched" said Odysseus. Suddenly the sky went dark as the clouds moved over them and the wind started blowing through the trees making an eerie sound , suddenly a creature came out of the shadows flying towards Odysseus and knocked him off his horse, the creature pinned him down and tried to claw at him , it's sharp claws tearing through his armour like it was nothing. Odysseus tried to reach for his sword but the creature was too strong, suddenly Athena heard Zeus's voice, "do not interfere, he must fight the creature alone" said Zeus, Athena watched as she could do nothing to help Odysseus. He struggled to get out of the creatures grasp, it's red eyes glowing brightly as it's claws shredded his armour, he punched the creature in it's face and was able to roll out of its way for a few seconds and grab his sword, as the creature jumped towards him Odysseus thrust his sword straight through the creature and watched it's body disintegrate into the air. Odysseus lay on his back and breathed heavily then noticed the creature's claw had pierced him , Odysseus lay there as he started bleeding out then slowly fell into unconsciousness as Athena walked up to him. Athena picked up his body and transported them to Olympus, "please help him almighty Zeus" said Athena, "and what will you do for me in return" said Zeus, Athena told Zeus that she would stop her journey with Odysseus and stay at Olympus for a while. "Very well Athena, I shall help him". Zeus's eyes glowed bright white as he held his hands over Odysseus's body and healed his wounds. Suddenly Odysseus opened his eyes and saw the gods standing around him , "you're a lucky man" said Zeus as Athena helped Odysseus to his feet , Athena told Odysseus to go home and rest for a while before going on another journey then transported him to a safe island where a new ship awaited him just by the shore. "I'll be around if you ever need my assistance" said Athena as slowly vanished back to Olympus, Odysseus climbed aboard his new ship and layed down to rest for a while, then he drifted off to sleep as he wondered where his next journey would take him.
