Odysseus and his men were lost underneath the ruins walking around in circles as they tried to find a way out , an hour later Odysseus and his men sat down and rested a little until they heard a noise. Suddenly Athena's little owl had appeared in front of them , "follow that owl" said Odysseus , Odysseus and his men stood up and followed the little owl through the underground ruins for a few minutes until they saw moonlight ahead of them , the little owl led them up the stairs and they followed it outside.
"Thank you little owl" said Odysseus as it landed on his shoulder , Odysseus and his crew travelled onwards further into the mountains as the mist became a little thicker. "I can't see a thing" said Odysseus as he and his crew stopped walking , suddenly they saw a ball of light glowing in the mist a few metres ahead of them , Odysseus and his crew followed the ball of light through the thick mist for a while until they reached a swamp , the ball of light flashed in front of them and then a woman appeared next to them.
The woman stood there and ran her fingers through her long red hair , her white silken dress flowed in the gentle breeze and her green eyes glimmered in the moonlight. "Who are you" said Odysseus's men , "that's the goddess Aphrodite" said Odysseus , "I see you made it safely through the mist" said Aphrodite , Odysseus and his men nodded and thanked her for her assistance , "a creature lies here deep in this swamp , beware" said Aphrodite and then she vanished into the mist.
Odysseus and his men walked onwards deeper and deeper into the swamp , the trees blocking out the moonlight as the sound's frogs and cicadas filled the air. They walked a little further and suddenly Odysseus heard a noise " ok men draw your weapons , something is here" he said , something moved amongst the shadows ahead of them as they heard a hissing sound , suddenly a Basilisk burst out of the shadows and lunged towards them , "don't let it bite you" shouted Odysseus as he moved back a little , Odysseus and his men defended themselves from the Basilisks relentless attacks.
Odysseus and his men attacked thrusting their swords at the Basilisk and landed some heavy blows , blue blood dripped from the Basilisks wounds as it continued to attack. "Ahhhh" screamed one of Odysseus's men as the Basilisk but him , the man fell to the ground and started to foam at the mouth as the venom ran through his veins and then finally died , Odysseus and his men thrust their swords towards the Basilisk and pierced it's heart and lungs , the Basilisk hissed loudly as it hit the ground hard , it's blue blood seeping out into the swamp water.
Odysseus and his men set up camp and rested for a while as they ate some food and drank some water , later that night Odysseus and his crew fell asleep in front of the fire until the sun started to rise. "Ok men time to move on" said Odysseus , he and his men walked onwards through the swamp as the mist became thicker , they continued to walk through the mist and then suddenly they found themselves standing on the beach back where they started , "how did we get back here" wondered Odysseus as his men looked confused...
