The dragon lay there as it's blue blood dripped onto the ground , Artemis walked up to the dragon and placed her hand on it's head , her eyes and hand glowed as she started to heal the dragon's wounds. Moments later the wounds had healed and Artemis opened a portal in the sky above the lake , the dragon stood up and flew into the air as Odysseus and his crew watched nervously , the dragon flew through the portal and then moments later the portal has closed itself and disappeared , "now then , time to clear this mist" said Artemis.
Artemis aimed her bow towards the sky and fired an arrow made from light energy into the sky , Odysseus and his men watched as the arrow flew through the air and then suddenly it burst with a bright white light. The thick mist above the lake started to fade away until clear sky appeared above it , Artemis used her powers to strengthen the energy shield around the lake so no more creatures could get through , "thank you" said Adenia as the lake glowed brighter and the bubbles glimmered under the moonlight.
Artemis warned Odysseus and his men about the dangers that lay ahead of them beyond the lake , Artemis vanished in a burst of blue and white light as she went back to Mount Olympus. Odysseus and his men stood closer to the lake as fireflies glowed around them , "it's so peaceful here" said Adenia as she swam around the edge of the glowing lake.
Odysseus smiled as he watched the fireflies fly around the above the lake and between the bubbles , Odysseus and his men walked over to their camp and rested for a while as the soft glow of the moon and lake surrounded them.
As they rested at their camp and owl landed on a nearby tree branch and watched them , the owl hooted and suddenly Odysseus woke up , "What's that" thought Odysseus as he looked around and then saw the owl. He walked towards the tree and looked at the owl closely , "ah it's you little owl , I see Athena sent you to watch over me" said Odysseus , the little owl hooted again then flew down and landed on his shoulder , Odysseus gently patted the little owl's head and then woke his men up , "wake up men it's time to move on" said Odysseus.
Odysseus and his men walked to the edge of the lake and stood there for a moment "goodbye Adenia" said Odysseus , "goodbye my friends" said Adenia. Moments later Odysseus and his crew walked onwards through the dark pine trees and left the safety of the lake , an hour later they saw light on the other side of the pine forest and walked faster.
A large tree stood in front of them , the tree was covered in gold trinkets and other valuable things , they looked up and saw something glowing gold on a higher branch , "that's the golden fleece" said Odysseus , "What's the golden fleece" said one of his men , Odysseus explained to his men that the golden fleece was a magical object that could heal any injury no matter how severe.
Odysseus and his men stood there behind the trees and continued to look at the golden fleece , "quiet , something is here" whispered Odysseus , Odysseus and his men moved back a little into the shadows and waited to see what appeared. Moments later a monster appeared in front of them and guarded the tree , "it's a hydra" said Odysseus , Odysseus and his men drew their weapons and planned their attack...
