Odysseus and Athena looked at the map of the mysterious island and decided on where they were going to next , "ok men we're going to the heart of the island" said Odysseus. Athena , Odysseus and his crew left the sanctuary behind them and travelled south towards the centre of the mysterious island , the mist still hovered around the island as the sound of cicadas and frogs echoed through the dark pine forest , the wind became eerily calm as they travelled deeper into the dark pine forest.
They finally emerged from the trees and walked through a deep valley surrounded by mountains , a swarm of bats flew past them as they followed an old path towards the centre of the valley. A day later... Athena , Odysseus and his crew had almost reached the centre of the valley , " just a little further" said Odysseus as they continued walking down the path , several minutes later they had arrived at the centre of the valley and stood still , a stone monolith stood firm on the ground , Odysseus ripped the moss and vines off the monolith to reveal some carvings.
"Hmm these are directions to three different areas" said Odysseus as his men looked around , "where do these directions lead" said Athena , "towards the west lies an old battlefield and fortress , to the east lies a canyon" said Odysseus. "Where will the south take us" said Athena , Odysseus looked closely at the monolith and said , "towards the south are the temple's of Aphrodite and Apollo"..."hmm where shall we go then Odysseus" said Athena , Odysseus stood there as he thought carefully and then said "I think we should split into groups and check all three area's and meet back here" , Athena and Odysseus's men agreed.
Half of Odysseus's men walked eastwards towards the canyon while the other half travelled to the south towards the temple's of Aphrodite and Apollo , "looks like we're heading west then Athena" said Odysseus. Odysseus and Athena followed the path west as the wind started to become a little stronger and rain began to fall slowly , after some time Odysseus and Athena had finally arrived at the old battlefield and fortress and looked around , "it's so quiet" said Athena as Odysseus drew his sword...
