The next morning Athena and Odysseus and his men travelled back to the ship and set sail towards their next destination, the wind blowing against the sail as the crew rowed , the ship moved through the waves at top speed as the sun shone down onto the sea making it shimmer and sparkle , the water so clear that Odysseus could his reflection. After a few hours they had reached their destination and anchored the ship and climbed down into the water , they walked through the cool water and onto the beach then onwards across the rocky terrain.
They headed northwest passing a stream that lead them to a waterfall surrounded by trees , Athena, Odysseus and his men stood still watching the water cascading down the waterfalls creating it's own rainbow above, they started walking towards the waterfall then heard a noise coming from behind it , Odysseus walking around a little and saw a cave behind the waterfall, "ok men arm yourselves" said Odysseus, Odysseus and his men drew their swords as they walked through the waterfall, Athena followed Odysseus closely as they walked inside the cave.
They walked a little further into the cave as Athena used her magic to summon a ball of light so they could see in the darkness, suddenly they heard growling nearby, they stopped moving as a large figure appeared in front of them. "A brown bear" said one of Odysseus's men , the bear suddenly growled louder it's eyes glowing orange as it scratched it's claws against the hard ground sharpening them , "that is no ordinary brown bear" said Odysseus , Athena moved away and shielded herself as Odysseus and his men raised their shields.
The bear stood up on its hind legs looking bigger than before then swiped it's claws at Odysseus, "move into formation men" ordered Odysseus , he and his crew moved into formation creating a wall and holding their shields in front of them as they prepared to attack.
The bears razor sharp claws battering against their shields, some of his crew thrust their spears forward towards the bear landing a few small blows grazing it , the bear backed away then roared and charged towards Odysseus and his men as fast as it could , they stood their ground and awaited the bears attack.
