The goddess Demeter stood in front Athena, Odysseus and his crew , "I see you were victorious against the dragon, well done" said Demeter, she reached behind her and and grabbed a shield and gave it to Odysseus, "a gift from us Odysseus" said Demeter. Odysseus held his new shield as it shone in the sunlight , "it's no ordinary shield , it will protect you against magic" said Demeter , Odysseus thanked her then suddenly Demeter vanished back to her domain , Athena , Odysseus and his crew decided to head back to the village, they walked down past the temple and down the hills and finally reached the village , the smell of flowers in the air and the river sparkling in the sunlight.
Athena, Odysseus and his men sat outside the tavern and rested for a while, a few hours later they left the beautiful village and walked towards the beach as the sun set beyond the horizon, they climbed aboard the ship and set sail towards the next destination. It was a cloudless night as the moonlight and stars shone bright in the night sky , they sailed onwards as the cool wind blew against the ships sail , suddenly a ship appeared in front of them , the ship sailed closer and closer as the sea became eerily calm , Odysseus looked at the ship as it came closer and said "demons" , Odysseus and his men drew their weapons as the other ship came alongside them.
"No don't attack , they're not demons , they're lost souls" said Athena , Odysseus and his men stood firm as they gripped their weapons firmly, the ship slowly sailed past them an then faded into the shadows. Odysseus and his men stowed their weapons and sailed onwards , after a couple of hours Odysseus saw land ahead of them , "welcome to Rhodes" said Athena as they sailed into the harbour and docked the ship , they limbed off the ship and walked to a nearby inn and stayed there for the night. The next morning the sunlight beamed through the windows and Athena, Odysseus and his men went to eat breakfast, after an hour they left the inn and walked through the streets and towards the market.
They walked around the market and bought some supplies for their journey, Odysseus and his men bought themselves some new armour and put it on. Meanwhile a market trader handed Athena a necklace then she looked at it closely , the necklace made with gold and encrusted with a few rubies as it shined in the light , suddenly Odysseus walked over to her and asked the trader how much the necklace cost , "ten gold coins sir" said the trader , Odysseus grabbed his pouch and took out ten gold coins and paid the trader, "enjoy the necklace" said the trader to Athena. Athena thanked Odysseus for buying her the necklace then they rejoined his crew.
Athena, Odysseus and his crew walked through the city and back down to the harbour and boarded the ship and stored their supplies then set sail towards their next destination...
