The Atlantean
Epic Legend
The sun rose as the waves clashed against my boat
I sailed towards one of Greece's southern islands
Within a couple of hours I had arrived at the island
I anchored my boat and went ashore then walked into the forest
I walked deeper into the forest until I found a clearing
A waterfall flowed in front of me as it shimmered in the morning light
Birds sat amongst the trees and sang their songs
I walked closer towards the waterfall as I searched for treasure
Suddenly I noticed a small ledge carved into the rock beside the waterfall
I walked towards it and climbed up onto the ledge and followed it
The ledge led me to a hidden cave behind the waterfall
Moments later I had found myself inside the cave
I took my torch out of my bag and turned it on
My torch lit up the darkness as I walked deeper into the cave
Several minutes later I had discovered two paths in front of me
I stopped and looked around and saw symbols carved into the wall
I translated the symbols on the wall and read them
The symbols said , one path will be your doom and the other will reward you
I stood there and looked around for a clue to which path I should choose
A few moments later I noticed something and made my decision
I followed the path on the right side of the cave and walked onwards
A matter of minutes later I had reached what appeared to be a dead end
I noticed a strange shaped stone on the floor beside me and stepped on it
Suddenly the floor in front of me began to move and an opening appeared
I looked into the opening and saw some stairs and then walked down them
I walked down the stairs and through the corridor until I discovered a door
The door was covered in symbols and I read them , I knew what I had to do
There was a hole in the wall beside the door with symbols around it
I took my water bottle out of my bag and placed it into the hole in the wall
The bottle sank down a little as the weight of it triggered a mechanism
Suddenly the door opened itself and a moment later I walked through it
I walked onwards a little further then finally discovered the treasure room
Inside the room statues stood there guarding all the treasure
I opened my bag and picked up the scrolls , jewellery and gold
The treasure was safely stored in my bag then I saw something beautiful on a shelf
A small statue of Athena goddess of war , wisdom and crafts
I picked up the small statue of Athena and examined it closely
It was made out of marble with touches of gold
Suddenly the room shook , I held the small statue of Athena close
I walked out of the room and up the stairs as quickly as I could
Rocks began to fall behind me and I ran faster and faster
I reached the entrance to the cave and made it outside just in time
The cave had filled with rocks and was nlw sealed forevermore
The small statue of Athena glimmered in the sun as the gold reflected the light
The next day I had donated all the treasure I had found to the museum in Athens
They museum curator thanked me for donating on my adventure
They created a copy of the statue of Athena I discovered and gave it to me as a gift
When I arrived home I placed my statue of Athena proudly on my bedroom shelf
I lay on my bed and looked the statue as it glimmered in the moonlight
Moments later I rested my eyes amd fell asleep and dreamed about my adventures
