As Rose was about to knock on the door everything went quiet then suddenly the door opened itself , "hello are you there Lily?" Said Rose as she walked inside. She walked a little further and then the door creaked as it suddenly shut itself , "this is beginning to remind me of what happened at Evelyn Grey's old house before" thought Rose , a few moments later the candles lit themselves and filled the room with a soft orange glow.
"Is anyone here , I have come to talk about Evelyn Grey" said Rose , then suddenly a dark figure came out of nowhere and came straight towards her. The dark figure flickered and then stopped and looked at her , "is that some kind of apparition?" Thought Rose , the room became cold suddenly and then a scratching sound appeared beside her , a moment later Rose turned around and saw writing carved into the wall that said "beware...get out...".
"Is it the same thing that caused the the last message to appear back at Evelyn Grey's old house" Rose wondered , the dark figure wailed a little and tried to speak. "Leave...this place...it is not...safe.." said the dark figure , a moment later the dark figure flew straight through her and disappeared , "that dark figure seemed familiar , I feel like I have seen that face before" thought Rose , suddenly the stairs began to creak as someone walked down them.
A few moments later a woman was standing there , her skin looked very pale and her eyes looked a little tired , "who are you?" Asked the woman in a cold tone of voice. "Hello my name is Rose , I came to ask you if you could tell me anything about your ancestor Evelyn Grey" she said , "I see , please sit down , I am Lily Grey" said the woman , Rose couldn't help but feel like she had seen her before somewhere , "what do you wish to know?" Said Lily.
"Do you know anything about the disappearance of your ancestor Evelyn Grey?" Asked Rose , "I know Evelyn lost her sister a short time before she went missing" said Lily. "Hmm interesting , how did her sister die?" Asked Rose , "die? , she did not die , her sister also went missing" said Lily , Rose was silent for a moment and thought of another question , "maybe they went missing in the same place" said Rose , "it is possible , there is a moor nearby that has quicksand , some people have died there over the years since the town was founded.
"Hmm thank you for your time , oh one more thing , have you noticed anything strange? , maybe a dark figure if a woman?" Asked Rose , Lily shook her head and said "no I have not , I am sorry". Rose thanked Lily for taking the time to answer the questions and left , just after Rose left her home Lily walked around the room , "that woman is getting to close to the truth , hopefully she will not learn anything else" thought Lily. Rose walked through the streets and headed back to the harbour and went to talk to the other woman again.
"Hello again" said Rose as the woman greeted her , "I talked to Lily , she told me her ancestor Evelyn Grey's sister also disappeared" said Rose , "hmm that is strange seeing Evelyn Grey never had a sister" said the woman. "What?! , why would she lie about that" said Rose , "I do not know but I have seen strange lights at Lily Grey's home" said the woman , "have you ever seen a dark figure of a woman at Lily or Evelyn Grey's old house?" Asked Rose.
"Hmm in fact I have seen something like that" said the woman , "I have also seen it , it was also in my bedroom once" said Rose , "I wonder if maybe it was the ghost of one of the other founder's" said the woman. A few moments later Rose thanked the woman and decided to go back to Evelyn Grey's old house , a few minutes or so later Rose found herself standing outside the old house once again , the house had moss and vines on one side of the wall and it sounded like it was creaking in the wind.
"Ok then , let us see what happens inside Evelyn Grey's old house this time.." said Rose as she stretched her arm out and reached for the door handle....
