Epic Legend
Hercules and Zeus travelled onwards for several days...they walked beyond the mountains , through the fields and marshes until they reached a lake. Hercules and Zeus sat by the lake for a little while and then suddenly a burst of pink light flashed in front of them , a woman stood there...her long white dress flowed in the gentle breeze and her hazel coloured eyes glimmered in the light , it was Hera queen of the gods , "what brings you here" asked Zeus , "you are needed back at Mount Olympus" said Hera.
Hercules and Zeus stood up and shook hands , "I will see you another time Hercules my son" said Zeus as he smiled , Zeus took Hera's hand and then moments later they vanished in a flash of white light as they went back to Mount Olympus. "Looks like it's just me again" thought Hercules as he looked at the lake , he watched the multicoloured fish swim around in the lake as the sun shone bright , Hercules started walking down the path and headed towards the swamp.
As Hercules walked through the swamp he heard a noise close by , suddenly a crocodile leapt out of the water towards Hercules , Hercules caught the crocodile in mid air and tackled it to the ground. Hercules and the crocodile wrestled as they rolled across the ground , "is that the best you can do crocodile" said Hercules as he smiled and then laughed , moments later Hercules stood up as he held onto the crocodile and then threw it into the water , a few minutes later the crocodile burst out of the water and swung it's tail and knocked Hercules over , Hercules fell face first into the mud.
The crocodile ran towards Hercules and tried to bite his arm , Hercules swiftly rolled out of the way and wiped the mud off his face and then jumped on top of the crocodile. Hercules held the crocodile down and then punched it's nose , he continued to wrestle the crocodile as it tried to escape , then suddenly a flash of white light appeared and Zeus stood beside a large stone , "what are you doing with that crocodile" said Zeus as he raised an eyebrow and laughed.
Moments later Hercules picked up the crocodile and threw it into the water , "you came back quick" said Hercules as he wiped the mud off his hands. "It was only a small matter I had to deal with" said Zeus , "shall we travel onwards then" said Hercules , Zeus nodded and then smiled at Hercules and they travelled onwards through the swamp , they travelled for a while as the sun set and found themselves heading deeper and deeper into the swamp , suddenly they heard a sound behind them , "something is following us" whispered Hercules.
Hercules and Zeus quickly turned around and looked around the swamp , "hmm , were being watched" said Hercules , "show yourself now!" Said Zeus loudly. Suddenly a black and gold fireball came out of thin air and headed towards them , Hercules and Zeus ducked out of the way but then a blast of red and black energy flew through the air and hit the ground in front of them , moments later...a woman stepped out of the shadows and revealed herself to them.
"You....what do you think you're doing" shouted Zeus as he and Hercules stood up , the goddess Nemesis stood in front of them and laughed , "you were determined to find out who sent Odysseus to the underworld" said Nemesis. "So you are the one that sent him there" said Hercules in angry tone of voice , "why?" asked Zeus , "because I can do what I want when I want , it was fun watching you fighting those demon's" said Nemesis as her long black hair glimmered in the moonlight and her red eyes glowed.
"You will pay for that" said Hercules as he drew his sword , Nemesis threw another black and gold fireball towards Hercules then suddenly Zeus moved like lightning and summoned an energy shield and around Hercules and himself. Nemesis screamed loudly and then suddenly a swarm of bats burst out of the shadows and flew towards Hercules and Zeus , Nemesis grabbed her staff and swung it towards Zeus , "you dare to attack me" said Zeus angrily as his eyes began to blow.
Hercules swung his sword through the air and watched as it collided with Nemesis's staff , a shockwave went through the swamp as Hercules sword clashed against Nemesis's staff once more. Hercules kept Nemesis distracted and Zeus quietly moved between the trees , Hercules and Nemesis continued to battle fiercely for a few minutes and then suddenly an almighty blast of electrical energy hit Nemesis from behind , "argh" shouted Nemesis , "you coward , face me" said Nemesis...suddenly Zeus leapt towards her and grappled her.
As Zeus and Nemesis grappled each other Hercules swung his sword through the air harder towards Nemesis's staff , his sword shattered her her staff as they collided. "Noooo!!" Shouted Nemesis , suddenly Zeus unleashed a shockwave of electrical energy through her body and knocked her out , "I thought she was never going to stop shouting" said Hercules as he smiled , "haha" laughed Zeus as he placed his on Nemesis's shoulder , moments later Zeus had banished Nemesis back to her realm until she learned her lesson.
A few minutes later Athena appeared beside them , "what happened here" asked Athena... Zeus and Hercules explained to Athena that Nemesis was the person responsible for sending Odysseus to the underworld. "Hmm Nemesis could never behave" said Athena as she sighed and rolled her eyes a little , "I think I shall head back to Mount Olympus , I've had enough excitement for now" said Zeus , Hercules said goodbye to Zeus and Athena and watched as they vanished back to Mount Olympus , "hmm been a while since I was home" said Hercules..
Hercules travelled through the swamp for an hour and then finally reached the exit and stood in a field , Hercules decided to travel south and head home to his village. A few days later Hercules had finally arrived at his village and was greeted by his friends and the other villagers , they held a feast to celebrate his return home...they ate their favourite food and drank plenty of wine as Hercules sat at the table and remembered his adventures as the sun shone down across the village and smiled.
