The next day just after sunset Daniel and Talia left their home and headed towards the train station , they walked through the streets as the light coming from the gaslight street lamps filled the area with a soft orange glow. A few minutes or so later they had finally arrived at the train station , "the train taking us to Ravenwood should be here soon" said Daniel , Talia and Daniel walked onto the platform and sat down on the bench beside the wall.
Seven minutes later...
Their train had finally arrived , Daniel and Talia stood up and walked towards the train and climbed aboard , they walked through the compartments and sat down. "The journey will take a few hours" said Daniel as other passengers boarded the train , a few minutes later the remaining passengers climbed aboard and the train began to move , Daniel and Talia looked out of the window beside them and watched as they left Blackthorn Valley behind them.
An hour and a half later...
"We are halfway there now" said Daniel as he placed his hand on Talia's leg and smiled at her , "do you really think going back to Ravenwood will help me?" Said Talia. "I hope so , we shall take it one step at a time" he said as he wrapped his arms around her , the train rolled down the tracks faster as the moonlight shone through the windows , "I have never been on a train before , I like it" said Talia as she made herself more comfortable , "I have been on a train once before , It made me feel a little queasy" said Daniel.
An hour later...
Daniel looked out of the window and saw lights just ahead , "I can see the lights ahead of us , we are almost there" he said , a short time later the train had arrived at Ravenwood station. Daniel and Talia left their compartment and left the train , "it seems darker here than before" said Talia as she looked around , the other passengers left the train and walked towards the the centre of the town , "are you ready?" Asked Daniel as he looked at Talia and held her hand.
"I am ready , let us go now" said Talia , they left the train station and followed the other passengers until they reached a fork in the path , "the train station we arrived at looks new , it must have been built recently" said Daniel. "It was a faster journey than the horse carriage we travelled in when we left this place" said Talia , they followed the path to the right until they reached Talia's old home , "it seems like nobody has moved into your old home since we left" said Daniel as they stood outside the house.
A few minutes later Daniel and Talia walked up to the house and went inside , as they walked around Talia looked around and said "some items are missing" , "someone must have broken in and took them" said Daniel. They continued to look around the house and then suddenly Talia held her head as flashes of memories resurfaced , "my head...it hurts.." she said , Daniel asked her what was wrong , "what do you see?" He asked as he placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Memories , painful memories..." Said Talia , the memories flashed in her mind as she began to remember more , she remembered the bullying...the abuse...being kept prisoner in her own home , all the suffering Vladimir had caused over their years together. Talia sat down on the chair with Daniel by her side as more memories surfaced , "how long did this bullying and abuse last?" Asked Daniel , "it started shortly after Vladimir and I met two hundred years ago" said Talia.
"Two hundred years!?" Said Daniel in disbelief , a look of shock on his face as he held her close , suddenly they heard the floorboards creak in hall , "who is there , show yourself" said Daniel. A moment later two dark figures emerged from the shadows , Talia turned around slowly and looked at the dark figure in shock , "but you cannot be here... you are dead" she said as the dark figure moved a little closer towards her and Daniel.
"How are you here!?" Said Talia as she looked at the dark figure , a moment later the dark figure emerged into the light , there in front of them stood Vladimir's assistant Renfield. "You forgot about me didn't you Talia" said Renfield , Talia and Daniel stood up and moved away slowly , "I was there that day when you killed my master , I shall have my revenge" said Renfield as he reached into his pocket and took out a sharp piece of wood and moved a little closer.
