Hi, wanted some clarification about doxing related policy on ChatZozo.

What are the consequences if someone is indulging in doxing?

Online chatting is a grayish zone, where people prefer to stay unidentified. Hence Doxing - search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the Internet, typically with malicious intent, - can be very harmful to the victim.

And i don't think doxing, if it were to ever happen on ChatZozo would get reported either. As the victim might not prefer dragging the issue to save what is left.

What are your thoughts?
 
Someone tried to do that to me, they got all the wrong info though :Cwl: tbh as soon as they started to try to tell me in pm i started to take screenies. If they had got the correct info I would have shared to screenies with an admin and got them banned.

The rule of thumb i'd say is don't share too much info with people until you know them well - about 3 people know my real name or my real facebook and I only shared with them because they are very close friends.
 
As u can see you don't enter any of your personal details to register in the forum or Chatroom , you can even use your secondary email address for the registration i guess . And until and unless u share ur details to those people you are safe ! Zozo has good security and it all comes down to u about sharing your personal details ...

Yeps that's correct, there's also the option to use FB, but it doesn't have to be your real one, and also there are the privacy options on forum you can use, and I think we have a video about chat safety right @Administrator ? So in the end is about what you decide to share, and who you trust, I just recommend you don't trust and tell everything about you to anyone you chat with, then you'll be fine.
