Corona’s caller tune will no longer be heard on mobile! Decision may be taken soon on removal

The DoT, in a recent letter to the Ministry of Health, citing applications, said, ‘After a lapse of almost 21 months, these announcements have served the purpose of creating awareness among citizens and have no relevance now. is not.’’ The message being played over the ‘‘network runs the risk of interception and delay of important calls during emergencies and consumes precious bandwidth resources, the letter said. This increases the burden on the TSP network and delays the call connection. According to the letter, it also affects the customer experience as calls get delayed at times in case of emergency. TSP has also been requested to disable RBT (Ring Back Tone).

If you are an Airtel user, then you dial *646*224# and then press 1.The Second way is to instantly press * or 1 when you hear the COVID caller tune.

The Vodafone users need to type CANCT on their message box and send it to 144. Else they can also follow the second step as Airtel users.

The Jio Users need to type STOP in their message box and send it to 155223 or follow the second step like the first two operators.

The BSNL users need to type UNSUB and send it to 56700 or 56799.
